About Miley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I mostly play a small forward, but I can pass and score like a guard. My strength allows me to guard girls much bigger, but my smaller height also allows me to run the floor quickly.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a defensive minded player. I will go after any 50/50 or loose ball. My intention is to rebound the ball on both ends of the court. If defense is played well, it makes offense easier. Personality wise, I am quiet but don’t mistake it for being soft.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have focused on my leadership and public speaking skills a lot in the past two years. After years of being shy, I have made it a goal to speak up about things that are important to me. I have always been a team player. We before me has always been my focus on sports and my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have overcome a lot of challenges, but there’s one private event that changed my life forever. I struggled with feeling like I was enough due to something that happened in my childhood. I’m proud to say that I no longer let that affect me. It made me the strong person I am today.

What type of college are you looking for?

Education is my main focus. I am a basketball player at heart, but books come first. I plan on going into engineering. So I hope to find a school that meets my academic and athletic goals. I would like to be at a school in a city versus rural setting.
