does on the hardwood. Montoya is a smaller SG, that plays her role to a T. She isn’t the type to force unneeded action or shots, instead she seems like she would rather be hesitant than make a mistake. Sometimes it can be hard for prospects to come out of their shell depending on who they play for. I think Montoya does too many good things to get passed up as a recruit. She might not score 40 for you or anything crazy but she plays the game the right way and we need more of than across the board in today’s age. Not to mention, she also is someone who brings a positive culture to whatever she is doing.

. I had the chance to see Montoya last season on the floor and she brought a positive attitude to the court, while being a solid competitor. She wasn’t the most dominant but she definitely showed some skill and promise. This upcoming Winter I would expect for Montoya to have a little bit more of a role on her roster with the experience she gained over the past few years and I’m excited to see how it all translates!

is a shooting guard that lives up to the name of her position. Whenever Montoya is running down the court, you can tell that she is looking for space to let it go from behind the three point line. She displays balanced form and a coordinated shot on each attempt she takes, while never rushing her attempts unless absolutely needed. Defensively, she is just a solid. A guard that can stick with other alike sized guards on every occasion and she won’t give up an inch. Montoya and her Knights team have started off this season with a 4-1 record and they are looking to keep that momentum rolling. They have all the right pieces, they just need to keep up what they are doing with a positive attitude and their success will continue.
