Maya put on a show with 1 Nation Elite 17U at the PGH MI College Tour III. With her length, accuracy from three, shifty handles, defensive effort/IQ, and crafty finishing abilities around the rim, she’s a prospect who pops out on the court. She changed lanes with a quick crossover and put the pedal down to score a drive-by bucket. Maya went by again for a layup off the dribble, moved her feet quickly, and stripped the ball away for a steal. She sprinted in to grab an offensive rebound and finished with her left off two feet. Maya can shoot, excel in multiple roles, and once again stood out in front of our scouts against high-caliber competition.

Maya was another player who made an impact at MI College Tour II at Wayne State with her versatility and athleticism. Capable of playing both inside and out, she consistently put pressure on the defense by getting downhill and attacking with purpose. She knocked down a long two and showed touch on a pull-up jumper, while also finishing strong at the rim off two feet. Her ability to score at multiple levels and use her athleticism to create advantages made her a tough matchup throughout the day.

A lengthy-guard that has the ability to create open looks for both herself and her teammates. She had strong finishes at the rim and handled the pressure well. Barker also did a great job on the boards (seven in one game) and will be a big part of Holt’s game plan this season.

Maya is another prospect in the wing-guard category who should see her recruiting take off in the coming months. She had a strong travel season for West Michigan Drive and stood out as one of the top performers at SVSU Elite Camp. Maya scores at all three levels, has excellent handles, sees the floor, finishes at the rim, and knows how to play without the ball. She earned a higher ranking and will be a prospect to watch at Holt this winter.

Maya was dynamic with the ball in her hands at the SVSU Elite Camp. She made smart backdoor cuts during the eleven-man drill and finished with a soft touch off the glass. Maya attacked hard downhill to score layups during 3v3 and continued to stand out during 5v5. She used a shifty double-crossover dribble to create space from a defender and scored a left-handed layup after a step-through pivot. Maya scored two layups off two feet and buried a confident corner triple. She looks ready to have a big season for Holt.
