About Nanalee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile athlete, exceling at both ends of the court by creating scoring opportunities for myself and teammates while demonstrating consistent enthusiasm and determination. I thrive on bringing energy and disrupting opponents' plays before they can establish momentum.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a charismatic and energetic individual with a positive mindset and strong determination. I approach challenges with confidence and tenacity, remaining focused and resilient in pursuit of my goals.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

During school I am a part of the Bruin Up program. We get the wonderful opportunity to work and peer tutor in the SPED classroom and it is a daily blessing to get to be a part of these kids lives.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being part of a varsity basketball team as a 8th grader has helped me develop teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills. Playing with older, more experienced teammates I have learned confidence, perseverance, and how to communicate on and off the court. I also learned responsibility and time management by balancing school, practices, and games, as well as resilience through handling challenges.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been fortunate not to face many significant challenges in my life. One challenge I have experienced was being the youngest player on a varsity basketball team, which required me to adjust to a faster pace and higher expectations. This experience pushed me to work harder, stay confident, and learn from older teammates, helping me grow both as a player and as a person.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a student-centered college that offers a supportive and inclusive environment, values mental health and overall well-being, and respects the needs of student-athletes. I hope to attend a college that encourages balance between academics and athletics, provides strong mental health resources, and fosters personal growth both on and off the field.
