Brady Peterson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
The Eau Claire native is the second player to suffer a severe knee injury and will miss significant time before we see her back on the floor. Kling is an uber-athletic kid who can affect the game on both ends of the floor. She’s a confident mid-range shooter who can get to her spots and use her athletic tools to earn her team extra possessions. However, her strength, athleticism, and size will make her a versatile and impressive defender at the next level. Kling was also the first player to announce her commitment in Wisconsin’s 2028 class, and will further her playing career in the Horizon League at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Unfortunately, Kling was the latest member of this extremley talented 2028 class to suffer a severe knee injury, which ended her sophomore season prematurely. However, you may not find a better pure athlete in this class in the Midwest. Kling, along with being an uber-talented basketball player, is also an elite soccer player who’s applied her talent across the pond in Europe. On the basketball side of things, she has been the brightest underclass product in Western Wisconsin because of her ability to score, shoot over almost anyone, excel in the mid-range area, rebound in a crowd, and be a versatile defender.

The Eau Claire native has some elite potential, and I’m not sure she even realizes the kind of player she could turn into, and I may not either. Kling is an elite basketball player who has drawn interest from reputable programs in the state, and is a soccer player who attends tournaments in Europe. She has an excellent pull-up jumper, exploded on the offensive end in the Big Rivers in her first high school season, and is a high-level defender.

Over Kling’s first season, she became the most consistent perimeter threat the Old Abes had, and, I’d think, landed her as a first-team all-conference kid this past season. She’s a physical wing who can space the floor, utilize her footwork in traffic, and defend multiple positions. She’s possibly the most versatile kid in this class outside the top three, and she’ll be a riser this summer with Wisconsin Playmakers .
