Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Langager isn’t interested in style points. She’d much rather impact the outcome regardless of what that takes – even if there are bumps and bruises and maybe a few hurt feelings along the way. The Sisseton forward plays with a rugged, no-frills approach that proved highly effective throughout the weekend for the girls from Heiser’s 15U Black squad. Built with broad shoulders and a sturdy frame, Piper already looks like someone who could eventually develop into a college-level post player. She rebounds with purpose, blocks shots, embraces contact, and finishes through traffic. I also liked her confidence as a shooter. The release is clean and she doesn’t hesitate when opportunities arise. There is an edge to the way she competes that reminds me of her older sister Krista, who is a 6’2 post at the University of Sioux Falls. The foundation is there. If she puts the work in, Piper has a chance to be really good.
