Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kemper has already become one of Minnesota’s premier young prospects in the Class of 2028. Long and smooth, she moves gracefully with excellent body control and touch. She scores at all three levels – pulling up, finishing at the rim, and burying threes – while also competing with nonstop energy. Even-keeled and confident, Kemper can carry a team on her own. On Sunday, she was a key piece of a talented group and looked very much like the D1 prospect she is. A top-20 talent with high-end upside, Kemper made it obvious why on Sunday.

#19 – Baptism by fire. That’s what Quinn went through last winter while navigating the gargantuan task of being a core player on a rebuilding team while still in the 8th grade. The level of competition Kemper faced in the Lake Conference no doubt helped her development because come summer she played like a veteran for the Stars. Kemper is long and graceful, with tremendous body control and touch, both speed and quickness, and a motor than runs hot all day long.

Kemper easily had one of the best showings of the day. She was aggressive from the jump and kept her foot on the gas the entire day. Scoring, playmaking, rebounding, defending was all on display. Her ability to score in traffic was effortless, hitting defenders with spin moves, step-throughs and floaters. If you relaxed and backed off, she burnt you from the outside. Quinn was a big part of the rotation at Edina last season and it’s clear she’s put in a ton of work to be an even bigger piece this upcoming season.
