Raina is an unselfish player, who’s excellent court vision leads to a lot of assists. And defensively she’s already turning into a standout talent.

Raina is unafraid to go into the paint and battle through defenders for a rebound. She’s a scrappy player who doesn’t mind some contact down low, and will fight for rebounds on both ends of the floor.

When I asked Raina for her strongest attribute, defense was the first aspect of the game that she point out. She says that the defensive end is an area where she’s constantly wanting to make herself improve every game.

Raina tells me that she prides herself in being a strong defender and comfortable in transition. And those skills were evident in her three 5×5 games on Sunday.

Raina has the size and length to corral a lot of rebounds, and she makes it look easy as she gets the ball in transition and moves the offense up the floor. She has great court vision and can find an open player. And she’s unafraid to battle with anyone on the floor.

#9 – Raina Sproat Raina Sproat 5'9" | SG/PG Downers Grove North | 2029 IL of Big3 14U is a hard working player that doesn’t like to take no for an answer. After watching Sproat and company compete this weekend, you can tell that they are continue to get better as they year moves forward. The reason Sproat stood out of the past few days was because of her defense. She is extremely active. She moves effortlessly without the ball and really prides herself on beating her opponent to their intended spots. Something you don’t see too often. Sproat is also a very active rebounder or boxer. She finds her opponent first, then she gets a body on them, then she goes for the rebound. We saw a lot of promising players this weekend was Sproat really stood out for her Big3 14U team.
