About Rihanna
Expert Analysis
Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Rihanna has continued to develop her game — and her frame — over the past couple of years, adding valuable height to her skill set. Currently sitting near the bottom of the top 25, she’s the kind of player who always seems to be in the right place when the ball is loose or a play breaks down. That instinct to stay active and involved makes her a constant factor on both ends of the floor, and it’s a big reason why she’s poised to climb higher in the rankings this season.

Rihanna is one of those players who quietly take over a game without needing the spotlight. Her smooth fall-away jumper is nearly impossible to contest, and her length makes her a problem defensively—able to contest shots, deflect passes, and pressure ball handlers with ease. She’s the kind of player who may not always lead in scoring but is involved in every key play, setting the tone for her team’s success.

The move from Roy to Northridge brings a big boost of talent to help keep the program in the mix. She’ll have a young squad around her, but that just sets the stage for her to step in as a leader and guide the group’s growth over the next few years.

May has made a move from Roy to Northridge and this fresh start might spark her game as May has all the potential in the world. She brings athleticism to both ends of the floor and there have been times where she is just licked in defensively and can create instant offense. Look for her to be a big stat stuffer this season.

May has a lot of upside. She is atheltic and is still refining her skills but when she defends wll she could be a player that is all over the floor getting tips and steals and making things happen. Could easily catch the attention of an NWAC school.

Jones has a the type of game that will only continue to get better and franly will probably flourish at the next level. She also has a few D1’s tracking her. Her wiggle and ability to lock in defensively at a high level athletically is just different. With some freedom she will be a mainstay when it comes to players getting on a highlight reel. She could be a monster over at Roy this coming season.

Jones has really elevated her game since the Spring. In July she put that lab work to the test and the best thing that we saw from her was when she kept it simple. She has some unmatchable athleticism and a handle that she can just keep clean as she can get to the rim and use her athletic ability to score the ball. She has also shot the ball a lot better in a catch and shoot. You can see her potential as she can be one of the best two way players out there. July was great to Jones.

Jones will come in this season and showcase her skills across the board on both ends of the floor. One of the most impressive aspects of her young game is her wiggle, she can really make things happen when the ball is in her hands.
