Samiah was one of the true wing players in attendance on Saturday who is firmly rooted in the position. Able to guard 1-5 effectively, and able to score or facilitate as needed, Samiah showcased an unmatched versatility throughout the camp. Offensively she was able to drive the lane and use a variety of crafty finishes to score. One thing that impressed in particular on Saturday was her coachability. Samiah could be seen constantly talking to her coach to ensure they worked in unison on the floor, and making adjustments as needed to help her team win.

The veteran star for 5A Ashley Ridge displayed exactly why she averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game last season. Even though she is listed on the Swamp Foxes’ roster last season as a four or a five, Boatwright especially thrives at the wing. With that, she is a consistent threat to place points on the board either as a three or with the 3-point shot as a shooting guard. She will also bring down a sizable number of rebounds. Efficient floor running, finishing at the rim with her left hand and the ability to draw contact and find her way to the free throw line are other positive attributes to Boatwright’s game. 

Considering Boatwright plays for a Lowcountry team in 5A Ashley Ridge, she will not have far to travel to arrive at this year’s SCBCA Elite Camp. Boatwright is among a plethora of Swamp Foxes that will be in North Charleston this weekend and played up in class with Mosch Ball 17U. Among the highlights of her travel season was winning the 17U division championship at Run 4 The Roses in July. Boatwright is returning for her junior campaign with a Swamp Foxes team that won a region championship last season and was a 5A Division 1 Lower State semifinalist. She averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest in 2025-26.

Considering Mosch Ball departed from Louisville as a Bronze Champion, several from the Summerville-based AAU assembling are more than deserving of recognition. Boatwright is one of those. She has had a stellar campaign on the grassroots trail this spring and summer and continued that in Derby City. Boatwright’s Swamp Foxes were 5A Division 1 Lower State semifinalists from last season. She is a rising junior that averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest. Boatwright will conclude her 2026 travel campaign at the Insider Exposure Summer Slam in Greensboro. She thrives as a 5-foot-10 veteran playing at the wing.

We move from one notable name for 5A Ashley Ridge to another. Boatwright was part of a Mosch Ball bunch that departed from the Atlantic City Showcase 4-0. One of those games occurred against NYC Lady Bulldogs. Mosch Ball prevailed by a final tally of 58-33 in large part thanks to 17 points placed on the scoreboard by Boatwright. Her solid play throughout the high school season led to another stellar campaign put forth by Ashley Ridge. Boatwright competed in 18 games this past season for the Swamp Foxes and averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest. 

Boatwright would right Ashley Ridge’s ship all 2025-26 long as the Swamp Foxes season would include a region championship in addition to a 5A Division 1 tournament run to the Lower State semifinals. She would average 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest for Ashley Ridge this past season. With the 2025-26 campaign in the rear view mirror, Boatwright is now running with Mosch Ball on the AAU circuit. She participated with Mosch Ball last month at the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Southeast Kickoff event in Hickory, North Carolina and will take to the court next in mid-May at the Select Events Showcase in Atlantic City. 

Boatwright is more of a regular with Mosch Ball 17U and is also playing up in class. She is another who played a massive part in what was a successful weekend for Mosch Ball 17U as evidenced by its 4-1 record. This past weekend’s Southeast Kickoff is the lone Prep Girls Hoops Circuit event Mosch Ball 17U is scheduled for – Boatwright and her team will return to action in mid-April at Insider Exposure’s War Games in North Carolina. She is coming off a 2025-26 season with 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge that saw the Swamp Foxes advance to the Lower State semifinals. Boatwright averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest. 

Samiah Boatwright Samiah Boatwright 5'10" | SF Ashley Ridge | 2028 State SC was tough on the glass grabbing rebounds and going right back up with the offensive boards.  She made a nice play cutting hard to the basket and finishing the old fashioned three point play.  She hit her shot from deep showing her ability to score on all levels.  She runs the floor well getting into position to score some points in transition.

Another tough out from the 5A Division 1 ranks, Ashley Ridge has played some of its best basketball during region play. The 8-1 record Boatwright’s Swamp Foxes have compiled already sealed up the Region 8-AAAAA championship for this season. The 5-foot-9 Swamp Foxes small forward is third on the team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 10.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in the 17 games she has played for Ashley Ridge. Boatwright is another product of the Mosch Ball AAU program. She has Ashley Ridge heading into tournament play with a lot of momentum as the Swamp Foxes have won 10 of its last 11 games as of this writing.

Girls Night Out was a rough night out at the 5A Division 2 Goose Creek office as Boatwright’s 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge assembling was on the wrong end of a 55-31 decision to another 5A Division 1 team in Ridge View. Boatwright would valiantly finish with 14 points. As a frontcourt force, Boatwright can play at either the four or as a traditional big. She plays with her back to the basket and can throw opposing defenders for a loop with the crafty moves she utilizes to finish at the cup. She does not shy away from physicality as she understands it will give herself opportunities to help her team from the free throw line. Ten of her 14 points were scored in the second half.
