In early March at Colonial Life Arena, Wando’s 5A Division 1 state contest against Blythewood may have resulted in the Bengals winning back-to-back state crowns, but Reynolds put forth a winning effort. She led her Warriors assembling with a 19-point performance at state – including 17 in the first half. With the 2025-26 season in the rear-view mirror for the Warriors, she is running with Mosch Ball on the grassroots circuit – including the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Southeast Kickoff in North Carolina back in late March. Reynolds averaged 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and three steals in the 26 games she played.

kept showing off her range shooting the ball off the quick release around the arc. She was running the floor well being ready for the pass in transition late in the game to close the gap from her opponents. She had a nice touch around the rim attacking the basket with toughness but putting up the soft shot to score her points. She knew how to anticipate what her opponents were going to do jumping in the passing lanes to grab steals.

As Reynolds has obtained more experience playing at the high school level, her numbers have only improved. The Warriors of 5A Division 1 Wando drew a tough draw on Friday in 4A Lower Richland but the 11 points she contributed to Wando’s cause ensured it was pass the test posed by the Diamond Hornets. Reynolds plays with a high basketball IQ and can play effective defense in the interior even though she is listed as a 5-foot-10 guard. Defensively, she will collect a large number of steals in addition to setting herself up to haul in a high number of rebounds.

Wando was picked by many to be one of the teams to beat in the 5A Division 1 field. So far, Reynolds is playing like it. The Warriors have begun the season at 1-1. The one win was a 68-22 blowout of SCISA 4A Palmetto Christian where Reynolds tallied 15 points. Reynolds also scored 16 points in a narrow 36-32 defeat to Northwood Academy – whom many believe could be the team to beat this season in SCISA 4A. Reynolds had a solid grassroots season over the spring and summer with Mosch Ball and it is translating into more success at Wando.

Reynolds really likes to play her game faceup to the basket. She feels very comfortable hitting the short corner or elbow jumper. Makenna really made some good passes today to teammates from the high post and wing position. Look for her to get some good minutes this season down in Mount Pleasant at Wando HS.
