‘s performance against the Tigers. She was unstoppable in just about every facet of the game.
The opposition could not keep Jordan from scoring, facilitating, crashing the glass, or picking pockets. She finished with a game-high 23 points, along with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
Jordan hit 1 triple and was one of the lone players from either team who was consistent at the free throw line. Aside from that, she was masterful when she was in the lane. She would put on the jets on the perimeter, beating the first line of defense with her lightning-fast first step, and then she would maneuver around the help defense with some fancy moves. The euro-step was Jordan’s go-to move. Most of these scoring opportunities came on the fastbreak, but they were not always just chances for her to score.
Jordan is Conway’s primary facilitator, and she made sure that she was not the only Wampus Cat putting up points. Jordan was threading the needle in transition, and when she was doubled, she made sure to find the open teammate.
Along with 4 offensive rebounds,

made her mark on this game. She has played extremely well this season, and she also recently picked up an offer from DI Arkansas-Little Rock. After this performance, I think it is time to revisit her #6 ranking.

has been the defensive anchor for the Lady Wampus Cats this season. She earned the defensive MVP award at the Sandra Meadows Classic. Along with being a solid offensive contributor, there is little Jordan cannot do on the floor.
Jordan makes it her mission to shut down the opposition’s best offensive players. She does not give them an inch of breathing room and she has no trouble forcing them to take bad shots, if they are lucky to get a shot off at all. Jordan plays with active hands constantly and she is great at disrupting passing lanes. Creating turnovers is her specialty, and defense is her calling card, but her play on the opposite end is also worth highlighting.
Jordan had 17 points against St. Francis out of Georgia, in what was a double-overtime victory for Conway. Whenever Jordan steps onto the floor, she is a threat to go on a hot streak from beyond the arch. She has a pure jumpshot and is great both off the catch and off the dribble. Jordan is also great at attacking the basket, being able to finish with both hands. She has even shown she can hit the defense with some fancy moves in the paint. In particular, check out the first move that Jordan hits in this clip. Jordan can defend and score, but she is also a phenomenal facilitator.
Great teams have commanding floor generals, and Conway has that in Jordan. She sets up the offense while bringing the ball up. Her eyes are always fixed on the development of the play. She knows where her teammates will be at all times and when she drives and meets traffic, she knows exactly where to throw the ball for her teammate to be in the best position to receive the rock.

does a bit of everything for the Lady Wampus Cats, and it is not hard to see why she is entertaining offers from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Southern Mississippi. With more national recognition and promising performances, Jordan will be entertaining more than just two offers soon enough.

was playing some lockdown defense against the Lady Wolves, and she was the captain of that disruptive Conway press.
Most of Jordan’s points came off of her own steals. In the first quarter alone, Jordan stole the ball three times. She eventually finished the first half with five steals, with most of them being turned into easy transition layups. Jordan made sure to give some of the Lady Wolves nightmares, as she was a monster with her on-ball defense. If she was not stealing the ball herself, she was forcing Lake Hamilton to make bad passes, leading to more turnovers.
Jordan’s halfcourt offense was somewhat limited, as Bohanon shouldered most of the offensive load. Jordan did have a few opportunities to drive to the basket, where she was able to finish over tight defense. She even used her elite ball-handling ability to create separation on the way to the basket, including using a nice euro-step.
It is tough to say that one Conway player had a better defensive performance over the others, but

was tonight’s defensive MVP, and expect more performances of that caliber throughout the season.

“Wait your turn” would be a good quote for this senior who was a huge part of Conway’s past success. Quiet and humble, Samyah is the opposite when playing. A good mid-range shooter who can step behind the 3pt line and sink em too! Tenacious on defense which leads to most of her scoring in transition. Jordan has that X factor presence with making tough shots over multiple defenders, being unselfish, or getting that much needed defensive stop! Now it’s her turn!

Jordan was another athletic guard at the event that showed showed me she could apply pressure on both ends. She came away with steals using her hands but watching her playing the passing lane and handling the ball afterward to either score or dish was also nice. Her court vision in the set as well as in transition are pluses, so was her attacking the basket strongly from multiple angles and finishing at times off balance after the lick. She also dropped the jumper in the set and the stop and pop from deep

It took Samyah some time, but she was able to get comfortable with her role and really excel. The sophomore PG played with good poise in some of the biggest moments Conway had this year. This will be her team to lead next year as she will be handed the keys from senior point guard Kaidyn Beckwith.
