Potterville earned a nice win against Saranac by a score of 43-29. The lefty utilized her game and court awareness to play a nearly mistake free game. She led the team in scoring with 21 points and also grabbed 8 rebounds. Cates got the job done on both ends of the floor adding 4 steals to her stat sheet.
Highlights
Cousino picked up a big 42-33 win against Chippewa Valley last night. Sakalas was so critical in the win for the Patriots. She had a huge influence on the game on both ends of the floor. Sakalas had a game high 16 points and came 1 rebound shy of the double-double, ending with 9 total. Sakalas even picked up 2 blocks in the game.
Prince continues to have an excellent season, this time leading the way to a big conference win against Berkley. Troy is now 2-0 in league play. Prince has proven to be dynamic with the ball in her hands and capable of going off at any time offensively. Last night she caught fire scoring a career high 40 points. Prince was able to create and score from anywhere on the floor. College coaches are certainly aware of what’s going on with Prince in Colt country.
Highlights
Bisballe has been a must see talent since her freshman season and was that once again last night in a Lake City win against Houghton Lake. She was just impossible to match up with. Honestly, it felt like the future Wisconsin Badger could manufacture a bucket near the rim any time she wanted. Bisballe finished the game with 15 rebounds and 11 points.
If you haven’t seen Klinger play, do it now while she’s at East Lansing High School! The Calvin University commit is a special talent. She showed that last night in a huge win against Waverly that took her tean’s record to 6-5. Klinger dominated play on the offensive end scoring a a game high 24 points.
Highlights
I’m going to be perfectly honest here. Savoury has the chance to be one of the best that we’ve seen here in Michigan. Belleville picked up a victory in a primetime matchup against a VERY talented Country Day squad. Savoury played a big time game in a big time matchup, like big time players do. She ended the contest with 24 points. Savoury’s combination of strength, height, toughness and ball skills is elite on a national scale.
Dykstra made one of the biggest statements about her game in the state over last grassroots season, so it’s no surprise to see her shine in high school season. Dykstra is highly influential on both ends of the floor. In last nights win against Richmond, she was a gritty defender and a big shot maker. Dykstra ended the game with 22 points.
Stoney Creek earned a huge win against Oxford last night. They were led by their veteran star, Sarah LaPrairie Sarah LaPrairie 5’7″ | PG Stoney Creek | 2024 State MI . She finished the game with 18 points and 5 rebounds. LaPrairie’s offensive combination of gritty buckets and smooth shooting is a show to see. That offensive grittiness carried through to the defensive end as well last night.
