The most challenging circumstances bring out the greatness inside of competitors who have prepared to win those moments. Here are a few of those girls who won the moment on Wednesday.
Paige Ringwelski Paige Ringwelski 5’10” | SF Powers Catholic | 2026 State MI played the game of her life on the biggest stage of her HS career Wednesday. She was unstoppable for Powers in the paint all night, hitting 8 field goals. Paige powered up against defenders with impressive elevation and high releases to give herself the right angle to score. She used her length and speed to face up and beat defenders to the rim. Paige scored a team high 19 points and added 4 steals in the Chargers regional finals win.

Addie Seemann (2025) was an outstanding prospect to watch compete for Freeland Wednesday night. She sealed defenders in the post and finished using multiple pivot moves. Addie caught the ball in the high post and used high rips to blow by defenders and score at the rim. One of her best plays was when she paused on the catch, swept the ball across the defender, and scored a right layup full speed on the left side of the basket. Addie has an effective mid-range jumper and is one of the better face up forwards I’ve seen this season. She finished the game with a game high 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Victoria Gray Victoria Gray 6’2″ | PF Bedford | 2025 State MI is committed to Indiana for volleyball and she showed those blocking skills Wednesday on the basketball court. There were at least 4 times in the paint where Victoria swatted a shot away or blocked it with both hands. She worked for offensive rebound put backs inside and put her dribble into another gear to score a eurostep finish through contact. Victoria led Bedford with 6 field goals and 15 points in their regional championship victory.
Sarah LaPrairie Sarah LaPrairie 5’7″ | PG Stoney Creek | 2024 State MI put on an offensive show Wednesday in the regional final for Stoney Creek. Her 32 points lifted the Cougars to their first Regional title in program history. Sarah used a hesitation dribble then finished through contact over a towering forward. The ball appeared to be on a string as she comfortably created space off the dribble and pulled up multiple times from well beyond the 3 point line: there’s not many shooters who are hitting shots accurately from that range. Sarah was in the zone hitting free throws, converting contested shots around the rim, and pulling up with ease outside. She will look to lead her team to victory in the quarterfinal Tuesday.
Miley Young Miley Young 5’6″ | SG Brandywine | 2025 State MI had the giant task of slowing down Kalamazoo Christian’s number one star and she excelled in that role on Wednesday. Miley did an excellent job pressuring shots and fighting through screens to make everything difficult for her opponent. She also contributed on the offensive end, finishing a left-handed layup full speed in transition, catching and finishing strong off of a back cut, and using a jab step to stun her defender then drive past her for a contested layup. Miley led Brandywine with 16 points in a gritty regional finals winning performance.
