Sarah Yokley
About Sarah
Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Yokley is a big guard, who can be a major mismatch problem. Took a bit of a wake up call against a tough LCS match up to start the day. Still even in the difficult match up, her ability to shield the ball defenders was crucial in bringing the ball up and running the show. Knows how to post up and attack mismatches against smaller guards. Really got to work later in the day, being physical with a “dawg” like mentality around the rim. There’s a lot of talent throughout the Lady Ram roster, but this senior’s ability to set the tone will be crucial for them to reach their high ceiling.

. Injuries hampered her junior campaign, but she was in fine form during the summer. Leading to a commitment to Kansas D2 Emporia State. The senior is a do it all wing, with point guard tendencies. Strong and crafty off the dribble, with a jumper that must be respected. As she writes the last chapters of her high school journey, there’s room for Yokely to continue to rise.

Last summer Yokley also impressed at the I35 Showcase. She looked to be one the verge of a junior year breakout, but injuries have delayed her opportunities to emerge as a collegiate prospect. Thankfully, she’s looking healthy for her senior year stretch run. And she made up for lost time with a big weekend and Sunday in particular. Yokley caught fire from deep, swatted shots and dropped dimes to teammates. She’s tall and strong, with craftiness that allows her to do just about anything on the court. She looked like one of the most well rounded players in the gym. Hopefully it’s the start of a big time final 9 months of Yokley’s prep career.

Yokley is a Swiss Army Knife of a wing, who could be considered a bit of a point guard as well. She was impressive during grassroots viewings and now will be filling the shoes of her big sister and other graduated Rams. Yokley isn’t going to “wow” with speed, but she’s skilled, understands angles and is crafty on both ends of the court. The poise and confidence she plays with it is obvious and it extends to her tenacity on the defensive end and as a rebounder. It’s hard to poke a hole in her game, and expect her to keep rising as the production ramps up for the Rams.

Okay Sarah is a young lady that I have seen for 2 weekends in a row. Every time I see this young lady I continue to nocte all the little things she bring with her game. Her game has not changed since last weekend meaning that she is a constant player. A small forward that can shoot the outside 3 pointer at a high percentage to go along with a good mid range pull up jumper. A player that always made thing happen on both ends of the floor. I really like her creativeness around the rim finding ways to get her shot off.
A 2026 that has great size can score and plays tough smart defense. A junior that could have a great season in one of the state top 6a programs.

A very solid 2026 small forward that just about did a little bit of everything on the court Sunday. A good shooter from beyond the arch with nice footwork for a catch and shoot. A very smooth driver that moved in and out of the help defense being to get to the rim. Nice vision and patience in the 2 man game stretching the help defense just enough to allow the post to roll for the bucket.
Versatile player that scored on a textbook up/under step through move. She has great size and strength to battle in the paint for rebounds on both ends of the court. Aggressive defender of the passing lane getting some deflections and steals. A promising junior that many will get to know as the Lady Rams push to return back to sate this season

Game Watched: JYD 2026 vs Swarm National
The rising sophomore first caught the eye with her defensive versatility. She moved her feet well when covering smaller guards, while also being willing to mix it on the paint. Even blocking a few shots in the game watched. Her tenacity also extended into plus rebounding ability. Yokley is shaping up to be a versatile two-way impact wing for Owasso this winter.

Speaking of Yokleys who can ball, JYD has another one for y0u. She’s already got great size and length. She showed not only great athleticism, but an incredibly high basketball IQ, which is kind of a hallmark of a JYD kid. They don’t just learn to do something, they learn why they’re doing something. Sarah is a really good slasher and showed some nice handles. On the defensive end, she moves really well and can guard pretty much any position with quick lateral movement and the fearlessness to bang down low with bigger players. Owasso and JYD have yet another Yokley star on their hands, it would seem.
