About Sarai

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a high basketball IQ and strong anticipation. I’m a versatile guard who can score at all three levels, read defenses, and create advantages for my teammates. I’m a sharpshooter with deep range, use angles well, and make quick, efficient decisions in ball-screen actions. Defensively, I stay disciplined and disrupt plays by reading passes and rotations early.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I approach the game with focus, composure, and competitiveness. I’m a student of the game who values preparation, consistency, and making the right play. I stay calm under pressure, communicate well, and work to be a positive, reliable presence on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in academic programs at school and maintain strong grades, including a current 3.75 GPA. I also participate in leadership and development activities through my family’s nonprofit mentorship programs.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership through communicating on the floor, holding myself accountable, and helping guide younger players. Teamwork is central to how I play—reading actions, setting up scorers, and making plays that help the team win. Through community mentorship programs, I’ve learned responsibility, service, and how to set an example for others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced the challenge of managing patellar tendinitis while competing at a high level. It taught me discipline in recovery, body maintenance, and balancing workload. The experience strengthened my resilience and commitment to long-term growth.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college program that values player development, competitive culture, strong academics, and a coaching staff invested in helping me reach my full potential. I want an environment where I can grow as a student-athlete, contribute early, and be part of a team that plays with pace, discipline, and purpose.

Graham ran into foul trouble in Derby’s 6A state tournament opening round whacking of Olathe East but she showed plenty on the defensive end. While I am well aware of her perimeter scoring ability what she showed in ten minutes of work was how active and strong she is defensively.

I saw Derby play once this season and was impressed with Graham’s game. She was an honorable mention athlete on my All-Deck Team, which was released yesterday. She played more of a secondary role on the Panther’s Class 6A Runner-Up squad. I have a feeling that she will develop into a dominant scorer when by the time her high school career is complete. She is listed as being a member of the B2B Kansas Bluejays which is a team I am not very familiar with.
