LaMorticelli was just offered by Brandeis. She’ll be a player to keep tabs on in her final season.

Shannon recently received an offer from Brandeis University, adding to an offer she already holds from Union College. Earlier this summer, she competed at Yale’s Elite Camp and was selected to the All-Star team. Shannon can score the ball in a variety of ways and brings plenty of effort as well, consistently hustling after loose balls and fighting to secure extra possessions.

Shannon just picked up an offer from Union College.

Shannon is a versatile scorer who can impact the game both inside and out. She plays with strength in the post, using pump fakes to draw defenders into the air before finishing or earning trips to the free throw line. She also shoots confidently from mid-range and beyond the arc, creating space with moves like step-backs. Her polished post game gives her another reliable scoring option around the basket.

Shannon played a key role in her team’s success, helping lead Bishop Feehan to a 20-5 record, a CCL championship, and a Division 1 Final Four appearance while earning league all-star honors. She will continue her development with the Bay State Jaguars National GUAA team this AAU season. Shannon is effective in the dunker spot, where she can knock down short jumpers or finish strong at the rim.

A player that’s not going to jump off the page for one individual thing. However, Lanpher is someone who’s hardworking, willing to fill the needs of her team, unselfish and has been increasingly getting more comfortable taking quality shots through the curse of the season. She can be an x-factor this postseason.
