Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Sloane has athleticism, skill, and hustle that grab your attention. She consistently finished first in sprints, communicated actively on defense, and separated herself on both ends of the court. Sloane defended well without fouling, sprinted back in transition to pick off a pass, and after forcing a turnover with her ball pressure, drove straight to the basket, switched hands, and finished with a layup. She used a behind-the-back snap on the perimeter to create a driving lane, split the gap, and scored the bucket. Sloane penetrated the gap for a layup against a post, finished with both hands in the paint, and dished out assists to cutters. She swiped the ball away to score a stretch layup in transition against a contesting defender and turned the corner with speed off a DHO to score with her left off two feet. Sloane showed her accuracy from beyond the arc, burying many threes off the hop and the dribble during shooting drills. She had an impressive showing at Michigan Premier practice and is a prospect with a high ceiling.

Sloane was impressive at SVSU Elite Camp last summer, and she popped out again at the PGH MI College Tour III. Her compact/muscular build, court vision, skills, and all-around game are advanced for her age. She looked off a defender on the perimeter, used a quick rip move, and drove by for a floater finish. She swiped the ball away on defense and pushed it up the floor with both hands. Sloane distributed passes effectively, made a split-second dump-off to a cutter for the assist, and generated steals on the defensive end. She helped Michigan Premier 15U Select reach the Diamond Championship Game and will be a prospect to follow.

Sloane was a Top Performer at SVSU Elite Camp, and she’s going to have a prominent role at Chelsea this season. She’s a sniper from three-point range and has excellent ball-handling control. Sloane makes high-IQ passes and all the effort plays. She rebounds, scores off the dribble, and works hard defensively. Sloane is a prospect I’m excited to watch over the next few years.

Sloane is a guard prospect who caught my attention at the SVSU Elite Camp. She’s a sharpshooter who gets downhill and finishes layups. Sloane makes the effort plays and is an impactful defender. She’s a playmaker we’d love to see at the Freshman Showcase.

Sloane was a breakthrough prospect at the SVSU Elite Camp. She came out guns blazing during the shooting warmup, swishing elbow jumpers at a high clip, and drilling back-to-back straightaway triples with textbook mechanics off the catch. Sloane was outstanding during the 3v3 segment. She scored multiple layups off the dribble, blocked shots, pounced on 50/50 balls, and chased down offensive rebounds. Sloane lifted to the wing and buried a confident three-pointer. She’s a promising prospect that I hope to see again at our Freshman Showcase later this month.
