Chelsea has a scrappy, young backcourt and Charley will be a phenomenal addition for the Bulldogs. She was one of the most impressive prospects on the court at Michigan Premier practice and her multidimensional impact will translate very well to high school basketball. Charley handles the ball with excellent control and has a variety of combo moves in her toolbox. She sees the court as an effective court general, creates space with shifty quickness, and dices up defenses to score with touch at the rim. Charley’s a perimeter threat, applies great pressure on the defensive end, and attacks in transition.

Charley made quite the impression at Michigan Premier practice. She knocked down mid-range jumpers and threes with confidence. I noted her speed, quickness laterally to pester ball-handlers, ability to penetrate off the dribble, good ball pressure, and balanced footwork on step-back threes. She switches hands comfortably and creates space to attack using a variety of crossovers, pocket dribbles, and spin moves. Charley pushed the tempo, using shifty, low crossovers, and long pushout dribbles with both hands in transition. She ran hard during sprints and was consistently at the front of the group. Charley split the gap with a burst to score layups and showed off her touch on a soft floater. She drained a mid-range jumper and a smooth wing three. Charley made the hustle plays and competed for loose balls.
