Sophie was one of the more intriguing two-way players at the Davenport Elite Camp and showed the type of game that could translate well to the college level. She consistently impacted play on both ends of the floor, combining athleticism, toughness, and effort throughout the day. During the 5v5 sessions, Sophie showcased her explosiveness by elevating above defenders for several impressive finishes in the lane. She also demonstrated her strength and body control, converting tough baskets through contact and earning an and-one opportunity. Beyond her scoring, Sophie was active on the glass and routinely came away with rebounds in traffic. Defensively, she competed with a high motor and physical approach, making things difficult for opponents. Her athleticism and bounce stood out throughout the camp, helping make her one of the more productive guards in attendance.

Sophie is a dynamic guard who leverages her speed and athleticism to general crucial turnovers and spark her team defensively. She springs the floor with purpose, capitalizing on transition opportunities, and showcases impressive body control to finish strong at the rim, even through contact. I’m excited to watch more of Sophie this winter, and expecting her to have an even bigger spring and summer.

Sophie is a lockdown defender who takes pride in her defense. She uses her speed to get past her defender and has good body control around the rim, allowing her to finish through contact. Sophie is also a good decision-maker when she has the ball in her hands. She excelled at the Drive training, and I’m looking forward to watching her play with her East Kentwood team this winter.
