accomplished last night while helping her team to a 3A State Championship. Huber started early by the rim. She was cutting off the ball, her teammates were hitting her near the block, and she was converting attempt after attempt with her little pull up jumper off of the block over her smaller defender. From there, Huber banged a deep three of the left wing. Following this start the Mustangs never looked back. Huber kept on fire throughout and ended the game with 24 points on 9-13 shooting, including going 3-5 from behind the three point line, ultimately making her the Fareway Player Of The Game when the final buzzer sounded.

and she did a thorough job of handling business on Saturday. Huber has a perfect shooting stroke off the catch with a mixture of great balance, coordination, footwork, and knowledge of when to let it go. During this contest whenever she let it go from deep, the net barely moved and that just speaks to how nice the shot attempt really was in those moments. Not to mention, this is someone that also does a really good job of being able to put it on the deck to get to another spot on the floor, if the defense decides to over-play her pump fake. Defensively, she was just as good. Huber recorded a few steals during this one, while also getting some tips/deflections as well. All in all, this was a great showing from a prospect who is primed to have a great season.

really showed off her versatility and basketball IQ on Saturday. She does a great job reading screens and knows how to set herself up to score – if you jump under a screen, she’s hitting a deep three. If you get hit by a screen, she’s curling for the drive or a midrange jumper. In addition, the six foot senior is comfortable shooting the second she crosses half court – contested or not. I anticipate a strong senior season from the future Evansville Ace as a leader by example for her Mustangs squad.

since she was a Freshman, you understand that she is D1 talent, a D1 commit, and one heck of a shooter of the basketball. When you combined that ability with her height at 6’0 and her mental awareness of the game, you see what she brings to the court every time she competes. Huber is a multiple sport athlete, that is actually making a huge run with her Mount Vernon team on the Volleyball court this week in attempts of bringing home a State Title. That just speaks to her athletic ability, not even referencing the sport of Basketball. At Evansville, Huber has the chance to be a staple over her career. She is going to be looked upon to let it go from deep at a high rate. If she can do that and stay in front of her matchup like she can on the high school floor defensively, it’s going to be tough for the coaching staff to pull her off the court, once she see’s it.

is going to return to the Varsity floor this upcoming season with vengeance on her mind. Huber will have one more shot to make her mark with her Mount Vernon Mustang program before she takes her skills to the next level to compete with her future Evansville Aces collegiate program. Huber is a lengthy Shooting Guard, that has been demonstrating that skill at a high rate every time she has taken the floor over the past couple of seasons. Prior to her commitment, she took a handful of visits other places so you know that the fit had to feel right for her within the Aces recruitment process when everything came to a finish. This AAU season she will finish up her career with her Iowa Dream 17U program on the road. There is a lot of pressure lifted from athletes once they commit so I’m sure she will compete this next few weeks with plenty of confidence as she tries to help her team win a bunch of ball games in a short amount of time.

The Iowa Dream 17U Team is a group of prospects that will all have a chance to compete at the next level when things are said and done. One of their knock down shooters and more promising players up until this point is SG,

of Mount Vernon High School. Huber has great length and size at 6’0, she has a fundamental shooting stroke from deep, and she is fantastic at using her size to her advantage against smaller opponents that she may matchup with. This AAU season Huber has been this team’s leading scorer in most contest. The main reason for that is because most of her shots come from behind the three point line but nevertheless. Over her high school career she has demonstrated that she is the real deal when letting it go from deep and she doesn’t take plays off on the defensive side of the ball. She already holds a few offers to compete at the next level but I think that list is going to grow. Especially once we get to the live period coming up this July.

. Huber has length, a picture perfected shot form, and coordinated balance whenever she is letting it go from deep. There isn’t a shot on the court that is too far away for Huber to take. She always seems to have her hands ready for a catch and shoot, with the ability to put the rock on the floor if the defense is overplaying her on any given possession. Defensively, she is just as active and able. She has length standing at around 6ft to interfere with any opponents shot and she is disciplined enough to stay down on all attempts. In the right situation, Huber excels and I can’t wait to see what she puts together with this group on the Select 40 Circuit.

. Huber is a lengthy and skilled combo guard/small forward currently. She has really nice size and length on the floor, but also possesses the ability to shoot it at a high and efficient rate. As a shooter, her form is balanced and coordinated on every catch, while she understands to move to the open spots on the perimeter, when the defense is playing off her too much. Huber this winter is going to be at Mt. Vernon high school and that’s going to really boost her stock. It may sound crazy but this is going to be a situation where I think Huber can shine and show how good she is. She can display that she can lead a team and be the dominate leader that college coaches are looking for out there. As for this spring/summer AAU season, Huber was fantastic. A player that produced each game, helped lead her team to a very successful season overall, and was a really good teammate to those around her when things became difficult. Three main things that recruiters love to see.

moves in this rankings update from the #17 spot to the #14 spot. Huber, a 6 foot shooting guard, has put together a nice spring for her

AAU squad. Her ceiling and potential are what stand out to everyone around her. A player who is a natural shooter with great length, speed, and coordination. These past few seasons Huber has been a player to watch out of this class but now, what she can really do is starting to come to surface. All her hardwork and dedication to the sport she loves is paying off and it’s awesome to see. Keep her name in the back of your head. This varsity season is going to be a big one for her at CR-Xavier.

has grown more into a small forward size right in front of our eyes over the past few seasons but continues to dominates at the guard position. Either way, she is really starting to shine. Huber is a lengthy and skilled combo guard. She spreads the floor and moves well with-out the ball in her hands while having the ability to shoot a jumper if given space. Physically she has good length and speed, usually giving her an advantage against her opponents. This spring/summer I expect her to keep on shining while bringing in a lot of college interest in at the same time.
