What hasn’t been said yet about this young lady? She has earned all the major awards already this year and for PGH, she has well deservingly is named our Division 2 Player of the Year. Strong, physical and forceful, she can score inside or out, control things in the paint and defend multiple positions. 

She is the number one ranked Ohio kid in her class of 2027, and she would definitely make a huge impact on this Ohio team, as she is one of the most complete kids in Ohio. Major D1 recruit, outstanding leader, able to score on anyone in the paint. Can rebound and push transition. Reads and reacts well, can defend and force mistakes. She makes it look easier out there a lot of times, her talent level is off the chart! 

So often we talk about Sydney’s power inside- how she has several ways to score the ball in the paint on either block, facing the basket or her back to the basket. And her outside shooting including 3’s, creates an unstoppable force for whoever’s defending Mobley. But her passing- how she threads the needle to her teammates flat out wows me! Sydney is one of Columbus‘s top all around players, and she is in strong consideration for this annual award. Mobley is just such a strong force in the paint, physically imposing, a frame that can handle the physical game, good touch at the rim and a solid defender. Major D1 recruit and she’s ranked number one in the 2027 class for PGH.

Watching Mobley play with her high school team was a standout experience. She came ready to compete, finishing the night with a double-double: 16 points and 10 rebounds. Mobley consistently demonstrated why she is regarded as one of the best players in her class.

Offensively, she showed versatility by attacking the rim, scoring over defenders, and knocking down shots from mid-range. Despite facing a solid matchup against Pike’s size, Mobley was able to get to her spots and create scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. On the boards, she controlled both ends of the floor, displaying strength, timing, and anticipation. Mobley’s combination of skill, athleticism, and leadership makes her a dominant force and a key reason Big Walnut remained competitive in this game.

There’s so much to say about Mobley’s game! A National Standout, Sydney’s highly recognized talent on both ends of the court are unmatched- you want the ball in her hands during critical moments. She excels defensively with her physicality, rebounding, and blocks- and offensively has the shooters touch from deep, with the footwork and body to dominate inside the paint!

Is it possible to run out of adjectives to describe what Mobley brings to the floor? Pure dominance, frightening defender, and one who always gives her teammates credit for feeding her the ball after scoring! She’s shining and thriving! (Below on defense)

She has lived up to the hype she received when stepping onto the floor as a freshman, now a.year older and a year better. She moves well without the ball, does a good job sealing off her opponent and able to score at the rim. Good moves, she is so strong with the ball. The Power 5s are knocking on the door! Averaged 20 points per game.

What more can you say about someone who is one of the nation’s very best? Mobley puts on a clinic any time she steps foot on the court- and it doesn’t matter if she’s double teamed or in foul trouble- generational players figure it out, and take over. While Sydney is nearly impossible to stop in the paint, she has a nifty stroke from outside!

Off the charts! Mobley has been known across the country for how she dominates both ends of the basket- and yet she continues to rise and flourish in her skills! She just loves being on the court, helping the team win! (Below on defense)
