Bowling Green had one of the best teams in the state all season long. Bailey played a big part in their regional dominance and her stock skyrocketed her from 78th to 40th in the final edition of the rankings. Sometimes overshadowed because of the depth on the Lady Purples roster, Tanaya is the type of player who could average 20 a game somewhere else but sacrificed individual stats for team success.

Bailey can really put the ball in the basket, but she’s not a selfish player and she’s on a team with a lot of really talented players, so I think it really speaks to her talent when I say that she scored her 1,000th career point in the championship game. She’s got a quick first step and she can finish in some creative ways around the basket, including through contact. However, she can also knock down shots and makes great fakes, so you have to really work to stop her. Bailey is also one of the strongest defenders I saw. She has great hands and can play suffocating on-ball defense.

. Bailey has the skills to run the point, but primarily plays the shooting guard position which makes sense when you possess the scoring abilities that she does. She was the Purples 2nd leading scorer last season after averaging 12.2 PPG. She’s an active defender and she can score at all 3 levels. Bailey can finish her drives even through contact, and she has good form on her outside shot.
