Caught Savoury at the peak of her powers in a game where she could seemingly do no wrong. Went for 34 points in a Friday night win, including an eye popping seven three pointers. Anytime she was given an inch from deep, it seemed automatic. Hitting both spot ups and off the dribble daggers. Can size up players and create space. And even with her immense skill on the ball, she’s also willing to get off the ball and be a smart off the ball mover, scoring within the flow of the offense. Was an impressive showing for one of the best prospects in the nation.

Sydney led all scorers this past weekend with a 28.3 scoring average. Sydney is a natural scorer. She is very confident shooting off the catch. Sydney can take over a game with her scoring. One of Sydney’s strong parts of her game is her ability to get downhill and get to the lane. Sydney has a good perimeter shot with deep range. She can find gaps in a defense and be ready to score when she sees a shot. She has a good understanding of when to score and when to keep the ball moving. She does not overdribble. Sydney can be projected as a production guard at the next level.

What hasn’t been said about this incredible 5-Star athlete? Everybody in America wants her so the only question is where she lands. On any night, she’ll be the best player on the floor at both ends of the court. Offensively there’s nothing she can’t do, inside/out game is impeccable. Defensively she anticipates the game so well and she’s able to turn mistakes into points. The big names will be on the sidelines.

Sydney is a top-ten nationally ranked prospect, Michigan’s top junior, and holds offers from nearly every high-major D1 college program imaginable. Sydney was the Gatorade Michigan Player of the Year in 2024-25 and a Prep Girls Hoops Sophomore Player of the Year, averaging 27.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, four assists, and 3.1 steals per game for Belleville. She guided the Tigers to a state title and has repeated that dominance as a junior. Under Sydney’s leadership, top-ranked Belleville finished the season 21-1 with a perfect record in the KLAA East. Their only loss came at the hands of a top-five Howell team in the KLAA Championship Game, 59-51. Sydney kept Belleville’s undefeated record against East opponents alive during a 56-54 win against Wayne Memorial. She poured in 35 points, scoring 14 in the final frame. Sydney posted a team-high 20 points with four steals during a 65-50 win over Indiana’s Lawrence Central and carried the Tigers to a 58-44 victory over Howell in the Regional Semifinals, scoring 18 of her 22 points in the second half.

Sydney, a junior standout, delivered a clutch performance when her team needed it most in a matchup between two top programs. Determined not to let her team fall short, she elevated her play in the second half, heating up from long distance and knocking down four shots from beyond the arc. She finished the night with 22 points while also doing an excellent job creating opportunities for her teammates, dishing out six assists. Sydney added six rebounds as well, showing her ability to contribute in multiple areas. Her focus and determination were clear throughout the game as she looks to lead her team one step closer to the big stage at the Breslin. First, however, they’ll have to get past South Lyon in tomorrow night’s Regional Final.

This was my first time seeing Savoury play, and she immediately made a strong impression. She looked every bit like the best player on the floor, impacting the game on both ends. Offensively, Savoury is a complete scorer, capable of knocking down shots from anywhere on the court with a smooth, confident jumper while also using her competitiveness to create opportunities off the dribble.
Defensively, she plays with high intensity, applying pressure and competing on every possession. Her motor, skill set, and poise separate her from others on the floor. With multiple high-major Division I offers, Savoury’s ceiling continues to rise. As she continues to expand her game, the next step will be seeing how much more she can add to an already elite skill set.

A smooth, strong guard, and she showed she’s a true three-level scorer who can hurt defenses in a variety of ways. She was always ready to attack 1v1, using her strength and control to finish confidently on either side of the rim. Her quick-release jumper from beyond the arc makes her a constant perimeter threat, and on the defensive end she had active, quick hands that disrupt ball-handlers and create turnovers. Be ready for her to have a great year for the Tigers.

Sydney is Michigan’s top prospect, and she proved it again at the LBI Mitten Opening. Sydney drained many three-pointers from different spots with a silky smooth release off the dribble, including a deep moonshot up top. She split defenders with quick crossovers and finished with strength at the rim. Sydney closed out hard to block a shot on the perimeter and showed pinpoint accuracy on her lob passes through tight windows ahead in transition to open teammates. Sydney’s physical strength, fine-tuned offensive skills, active defense, and rebounding effort give Belleville an advantage against any team they play.

Sydney has quickly risen into one of Michigan’s brightest stars and enters this season as the clear frontrunner for the Division 1 Player of the Year. The dynamic 6-foot guard was unstoppable as a sophomore, earning Michigan’s Gatorade Player of the Year honors while powering Belleville to its first-ever state championship. Savoury stuffed the stat sheet with 26.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.2 steals, and 3.8 assists per game, showcasing her all-around dominance. On the biggest stage at the Breslin Center, she delivered back-to-back standout performances — recording 21 points and 11 rebounds in the semifinals before posting 22 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the title game. With two seasons still ahead of her, Savoury’s ceiling only continues to rise.
