Bondurant-Farrar had their up’s and down’s last season but someone who played consistently well was Tiara Berggren at the PG spot. Berggren has some natural ability to her play style. She primarily works with the ball in her possession, running whatever offense is being instructed. She is good enough to be able to audible quickly if things break down but she usually does a solid job of setting everyone up where they should be before hand. TB should have a chance to put together a nice run this Spring and Summer with her Iowa Hoop Dreams 17U team. They have a few individuals with some real length so with her running the show, everyone should continue to make things happen.

There is promise to the overall game that

brings to the hardwood. Berggren plays the game the right way, she can assist others at a high rate and make everyone else around her better, she can score from all offensive levels, and she does all of these things while playing with a simple play-style. Berggren showed her worth several times on Sunday in skill work and 5v5 competitive play. If she can build on that momentum moving into this Winter, she will like the results that should follow.

stood out as their top producer in those contests. This season, Berggren will have the chance to take on even more of the workload that the Bluejay’s might have. As a hooper, this is a player with a smart head on her shoulders when it comes to situational awareness. She is fairly skilled as an overall prospect, always making her money as a handler, creator, and distributor. I’m hoping that TB can come into this event and pick up where she left off last year. She did really well as a play-maker during out 2024 PGH Expo and she should be able to do the same this time around.

There is a lot of positives that

brings to the floor when she is competing at the PG position. When Berggren has talent around her, she really thrives and looks like a compete prospect but situationally it’s not always that simple. On Berggren’s current team’s, she has to be the top dawg. That’s going to the theme the rest of this AAU season and moving into her Sophomore season this Winter at Bondurant-Farrer. There is nothing wrong with that. I think Berggren has the ability to step up and put up respectable numbers over the next two years. She has all the intangibles, now it’s about putting the pen-to-paper and making it happen.

Bondurant – Farrar High School are going to be led by their Senior leadership for this upcoming season. Following that, their underclassman group will have to step up into those productive roles. Someone for their 2027 squad, that is definitely better than you average at the PG spot for her age is Tiara Berggren. Berggren brings together a smooth style of play combined with patience. Most of the time, those are two things you don’t see from a younger player in the game but you do here. If Bergggren can find her spot within her Varsity program sometime this Winter, it should fair for her pretty well moving forward.

The Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays are a program that is filled with impressive talent from top to bottom on their roster but especially at the underclassman levels. One of the players from their group that I will be keeping an eye on is Tiara Berggren. Berggren comes from a family of competitive athletes and she is someone that is going to be able to hold her own throughout the state as she gets older. She plays with a traditional play-style at the PG position and she doesn’t seem to veer off the path too often to hurt her team in many ways. As long as their is a solid system in place around her and the team can get stops defensively, then they are going to be a group to notice over the next couple of years. They just have to put a common goal in place and the rest could be history.

stepped onto the JV and Varsity floor as a Freshman, contributing in every way conceivable. In my opinion, Berggren is at her best when she is getting into the teeth of the defense off of the dribble and creating for others. She is solid in most parts of the skill side of the game, while having a smart head on her shoulders. By the end of the Varsity season rolled around this Winter, she was contributing at a steady rate for a Freshman seeing the floor. Over these next few months she is going to continue to perfect her game as she is going to be a big part of Bondurant’s success these next three years. If she can stay consistent in her work and slowly get better as the years go by, she is going to be someone we hear about quite often throughout the State of Iowa as she continues to grow.
