McManus has been making everything look easy this season with her scoring ability. McManus has developed her shot in the mid-range and is a much more confident ball handler, and its expanding her offensive skillset. She is fast, physical, tough, and confident with a smoothness to her game that is fun to watch. She loves to facilitate in the open floor or in half court sets to get easy buckets. Finds the lanes and threads it in her with power. She is a good rebounder and can guard multiple positions.

McManus has had a strong start to her season. She’s been doing a lot of her damage on the break looking for odd man breaks in transition. Confidence is growing and has elite court vision. Has the ability to create her own shot and find space from anywhere on the court. Has really worked on her  shot mechanics and range from the perimeter.

Showing off the ability to create for herself and for others equally as efficient, Vanessa proved she is a legitimate scoring threat and a total team player. She got creative in transition pushing the ball up ahead of the pack and attacking the rim, putting her crafty layup package on full display. She was money from the mid-range all afternoon long and often drew the double-team as single coverage could not fully contain her. In the individual performance testing, she went on to record a 24″ vertical, tying for the second best of the event.

McManus is one of the top scoring guards in her class. She averaged 26.7 points per game last season and I expect her to take the next step in her development this season. She is a good defender, cleaning up on the glass and creating turnovers where she looks to push the tempo for easy buckets. She can light it up from the perimeter just as easy as she can get to the basket in the paint. She is active on the glass and does a good job facilitating for her teammates when she is guarded heavily on double teams. Really want to see how she takes the next step with her game with ball security, ability to create space, and her playmaking. Sky’s the limit and I’m expecting big things this upcoming season.

McManus jumps out as a dynamic scoring guard and floor general with a natural feel for the game. She has elite handle and ball control that makes her difficult to guard on the break. She is fearless in the paint and not afraid to draw contact. She can stop on a dime and pullup 3 and shoot it with high efficiency. She is athletic and has the ability to put her stamp on the game whenever she wants.

McManus loves to drive and finish in the paint and is a fearless shooter on the perimeter. She has good IQ and finds good space on the court to get open looks. She is quick and explosive on the break and loves to run the floor. She has the natural ability to create her own shot from anywhere on the court and is a confident ball-handler and distributor as a playmaker.

McManus is a dynamic combo guard that can impact the game on both ends of the floor. On the defensive end, she is an athletic guard that can defend multiple positions. She is everywhere on the floor and brings it every second she’s out there.  McManus is a high instensity player that loves to get after loose balls and will be right in the mix of things. She always looks to push the pace and reward open teammates for running the floor. Has elite ball control, speed, and handle and is also not afraid to take it to the paint coast to coast. On the offensive end, McManus can beat you in a variety of ways with her pull up mid range jumper or from beyond the arc as a catch and shoot option. Good shooting mechanics and release. Also loves to attack the basket and can finish efficiently in a multitude of ways in the paint.

Vanessa McManus Vanessa McManus 5'7" | SF Nazareth | 2024 NC was all over the court grabbing steals and using her speed to push the ball up the court scoring some solo fast breaks.  She had some nice pass fakes to lose her defender and score some jump shot points.  She can knock down her shot from deep, too.  She had a nice hustle back play getting the block in transition.
