A very quick and shift guard who is very skilled with the ball. She has a quick step she’ll use with a dribble move to blow by her opponents and get to the basket. Showed off a high percentage three ball off the catch from well beyond the college line. Made good reads and strong passes, sees the court very well through pressure. On the defensive side Gross defends the length of the court. She plays very tight on her opponent and moves very well. Quick hands that’ll poke out the ball and shes quick to take it the other way. Very strong defender in transition.

The junior point guard came out and was aggressive from the opening tip. Gross attacked the basket to create for herself and her teammates. She got into a rhythm shooting from three-point range and hit multiple threes in the game. YG also played very good defense against some very quick guards.

The Tucson-area native returns home and is ready to make noise for Sahuaro. Gross brings energy and quickness to the backcourt, with the ability to score in transition or break defenders down off the dribble. Expect her to be a spark plug for the Cougars.

is an intriguing prospect that is looking to have a breakout season for Sahuaro this year. She has played for a couple different schools over the past two years, but has landed at Sahuaro, which is one of the premier Girls’s programs in Tucson. Gross is an outstanding shooter especially from the 3 point line. She is a terrific play maker and distributor. She has the ability to take over games on the offensive end and she could be one of the highest recruited point guards in Southern Arizona.

Gross suited up with Premier Prep Tucson for this event. She is a shifty point guard with great basketball IQ, tight handles, and the ability to finish around the rim. As she continues to evolve her scoring ability, she will be one of the better floor generals in her class.

Gross was among the quickest players at the event and hard to stay in front of if you were guarding her. Once she had the defender backing up, that opened things up for her full offensive game. Her mid-range game was on, and she made some very nice passes.

Gross is one of the top players in SOAZ and she came to put in work. She played exceptionally well as she displayed a tight handle and showed the ability to pull the trigger on her jump shot very quick. On defense she had quick hands and played the passing lanes well. Her role will increase this season even more for her Sunnyside squad.
