Area Codes Hidden 20 Showcase Junior Standouts

The recent Area Codes Basketball National Hidden 20 Showcase was a good glimpse of what's to come during the 2025/2026 High School season. The competition was intense all day long and there were several Juniors that stood out and caught my eye.    [player_tooltip player_id='838956' first='Malia' last='Woodberry'] showed that she is back to full speed and then some after a recent injury that slowed her Spring preparation. She is a lightning quick point guard that has tremendous ball handling skills. She has really improved her defensive skills and her presence on the court. She is confident and always under control. She is an outstanding play maker and she can create shots for herself off the dribble or for her teammates. Malia is also a very good deep range shooter and getting better. She will be a highly recruited player over the next several months.     [player_tooltip player_id='788336' first='Ylena' last='Gross'] is an intriguing prospect that is looking to have a breakout season for Sahuaro this year. She has played for a couple different schools over the past two years, but has landed at Sahuaro, which is one of the premier Girls's programs in Tucson. Gross is an outstanding shooter especially from the 3 point line. She is a terrific play maker and distributor. She has the ability to take over games on the offensive end and she could be one of the highest recruited point guards in Southern Arizona.     [player_tooltip player_id='807119' first='Terrais-Joi' last='Coleman'] has really improved her stock and will be moving up the State Rankings as she is one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2027 Class. She is a big athletic point guard that can handle the ball extremely well and she can distribute like a smaller guard. She is a very good shooter, she can make plays for herself and her teammates on the drive, and she can hit the pull-up jumper. Defensively she is a menace because of her size and length. This will be the year Coleman explodes onto the recruiting scene.     Kenzie Lewis is one of the smoothest and skilled point guards on the 2027 class. She is a seasoned player that has really worked hard at her craft. She is very dangerous in the open floor because of her speed and agility. She has the ability to pull up from 3, or distribute to a teammate for an open look. She is a 3 level scorer and she is crafty around the rim on her finishes. She is a lock-down defender that has a relentless motor. She is always communicating to her teammates and making sure everyone is playing on a string. Kenzie is the ultimate team leader and will capture the attention of college scouts as Campo Verde has surfaced as one of the top teams in the state.     [player_tooltip player_id='992606' first='Adrianna' last='Mumbere'] is one of the top prospects in Arizona at her position. She is 6'1" with a long wingspan, and she is the ultimate rim protector. She is very agile in the post on both offense and defense. She has the ability to effect a game on both ends of the floor because of her size and athleticism. She is very skilled as a post player on offense showing the ability to score inside or hit the mid range shot.
