Yvette came alive in the third quarter for Booker, helping her team get within striking distance with her relentless effort. She finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds, accounting for nearly a third of Booker’s scoring, despite being a primary focus for the Hornets’ defense. Yvette still managed to create off the dribble, shooting 7-for-14 from the field, and added 2 steals. The senior showed tremendous heart and determination in the second half, keeping her team competitive against a tough Bishop Moore squad.

is the type of guard who fills the stat sheet and does whatever it takes to win. She led Booker in scoring with 14.8 points per game and finished the season with 385 total points, while also leading the team in rebounding at 6.6 boards per game and adding 2.5 steals per contest. Brown’s speed, toughness, and physicality allow her to impact the game well beyond the score sheet. She consistently attacks the glass, pressures the ball defensively, and elevates her team on both ends of the floor. As a guard who leads her team in rebounding while also being the primary scorer, Brown’s versatility makes her one of the most valuable players in the tournament. “What can Brown do for you?” We will find out in the semifinals later in the week.

has one of the best offensive skills in the State, and her recent mid-range attack against Cardinal Mooney was a masterpiece. Brown is a fierce competitor who averages nearly 8 rebounds per game from the point guard position. That spells instant fast break, and it often puts the defense at a disadvantage. Brown shoots the ball from all over the court and has a potent midrange game that often comes on the heels of a grab-and-go sequence. Her ability to stop and pop or get all the way to the rim through physicality is what makes her a special player.

In a few minutes of play, Yvonne Brown connected on a three point shot, then she went on the defensive end and took a charge to give her team the possession. Brown was handling business even against a zone defense. She maneuvered into the teeth of the defense and got baskets and drew fouls to get to the free-throw line. Brown is an offensive bucket-getter. She scores in multiple ways and made the case as one of the best scorers in the tournament.

Yvette brings versatility that allows her to impact the game in either the frontcourt or backcourt. She rebounds extremely well for her size and position and plays with a high motor that makes her consistently making plays around the ball. Yvette finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds and was one of the most impressive players at the event. Offensively, her midrange game was on point as she scored with a runner and a baseline jumper while also showing the ability to hit a deep two or get downhill to the rim.

is a shifty and explosive combo guard who brings a scoring punch and intense defensive pressure to the event. She plays with athleticism, pace and poise. Brown can score at all three levels and she does it with efficiency and confidence. In the open floor Brown is lethal and here is where her athleticism stands out. Last week Brown “rose” to the occasion – knocking down shots at a high clip. The talented guard is more than a scorer. She stands out on the defensive end as well. She is relentless on the ball, forcing turnovers and making life tough for opposing guards. Her two-way play and competitive fire make her a game-changer on both ends of the floor. As the commercial asks,“What can Brown do for you?” Brown’s play provided the answer: be a playmaker, be a beast on the scoreboard, and be a game changer who “rose” to the occasion in Kentucky when the game was on the line.

is a slashing guard with strong ball-handling skills. She has the ability to get to the rim and draw contact for and-1 opportunities. Brown can also knock down the three-ball and is a feisty defender. She has been on a tear in her last 10 games, scoring in double digits in each, starting with back-to-back 26-point performances. Brown will need to continue this trend to keep up with Palm Bay’s high-scoring offense.

‘s consistent growth from season to season has steadily elevated her in the rankings. The Booker guard possesses a versatility to her game that makes her a significant threat to opposing teams. If one aspect of her game is taken away, she can still find ways to make an impact. Brown is equally effective handling the ball or playing off the ball, maintaining her ability to score regardless of her role. This season, Yvette is averaging 12.4 PPG and 7.4 rebounds per game. Despite playing with new teammates, she has seamlessly adapted, demonstrating that she can thrive alongside anyone while staying effective. I foresee Brown receiving a solid number of offers as she heads into and progresses through the travel ball season.

recorded a double-double on December 12th against Winthrop College Prep, finishing with 21 points on 69% shooting from the field, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Brown thrives in a fast-paced offense, and her team capitalizes on that style of play.
Her ability to get to the rim quickly while playing strong and finishing through contact makes her a constant threat. She also shoots well enough to keep defenses honest, forcing them to respect her shot and stay off-balance. Brown’s quick decision-making allows her to find open teammates in split seconds, even while playing at a high tempo.
Brown currently leads her team in scoring with 17 points per game and is second in rebounds with 7.5 per game. As her confidence continues to grow, her production is expected to increase in the second half of the season.
