Sanders is a true point guard with nice length and excellent ball security for an underclassman. She consistently creates for others and makes great reads downhill. She hit two big-time threes to come back against Nelson in the fourth quarter. She finished at the rim multiple times after beating her defender on the perimeter. One especially high-IQ finish was a kiss high off the glass over the outstretched arms of a 6-foot-2 defender. Sanders is proving to be a top point guard in Oregon’s class of 2029.

Zoe Sanders Zoe Sanders 5'10" | PG Sherwood | 2029 State OR has been working hard in the off-season and playing for her family out of Sherwood. Zoe comes from a long family history of talent in basketball.

An impressive guard, Zoe shines on the court because of her ability to get up and down the court swiftly. She has a good size for her age as a rising freshman. While being surrounded by many talented players, she isn’t afraid to be aggressive and work hard during games.

Zoe also attended the University of Portland team camp and the Oregon Elite camp this summer. She has an elegant style of play that is electrifying to watch. She can shoot consistently and explode quickly to the rim. Zoe has goals of playing Division 1 basketball and is excited to see what her future holds.

A valuable lesson Zoe shared that she learned from camps was that talent will get you noticed, but effort, attitude, and being coachable will keep you on others’ radar.

Five-foot-10 point guard Zoe Sanders Zoe Sanders 5'10" | PG Sherwood | 2029 State OR is a tremendous floor general who led FBC Oregon in assists and steals this season. Sanders has a high game IQ, takes care of the ball, and has excellent vision and passing. She can hit the catch-and-shoot three and has nice footwork in the paint to finish at the rim after the drive from the perimeter.

Flight Basketball Club 5-foot-10 point guard Zoe Sanders Zoe Sanders 5'10" | PG Sherwood | 2029 State OR is a high-IQ playmaker and ball handler with excellent vision and passing. The Sherwood-bound 8th-grader (2029) played up in the top 15U Pool at the Battle in the Emerald City. Sanders values possession and is a good shooter who can hit from deep. She can navigate the pressure defense, get her team into its offense, read the floor, and create opportunities for her teammates.
