Another star player from the Tigers that crossed the 1,000-point threshold was Miller, in her swan song season sporting Wilson’s purple and gold hues. Miller is one of four team co-captains for coach Ki’Ari Cain’s Tigers. Wilson hosted region rival Lower Richland on Jan. 12. The Diamond Hornets got the narrow 44-43 victory over the Tigers but Miller reached her career milestone. She was honored at Wilson’s following home game which was two days later against South Florence. As of this writing, Miller has played in all 17 of Wilson’s games this season, averaging 13.6 points, four rebounds and 3.5 steals a contest. The Tigers were ranked ninth in the most recent 4A coaches’ poll.

Considering 4A Wilson entered Monday’s matchup with 2A Marion a bit shorthanded, this meant the Tigers’ other marquee players had to do more than usual. Miller is one of those names and she answered the call by placing 12 points on the board against the Swamp Foxes. Miller is a skilled attacker of the rim and does not shy away from attempting tough shots. Miller also understands the concept of drawing contact to get to the free throw line and can match an opposing ball carrier step for step as a defender. Miller is one of four from the class of 2026 on this year’s Wilson team.

Miller’s 4A Wilson team may not have achieved the result it was looking for against its 5A Morrow adversaries from Georgia. The senior Tigers two guard still turned in a winning effort for her team in the form of a 16-point performance that led Wilson against the Mustangs. Miller was able to get in position on the perimeter on more than one occasion to attempt 3-point shots, hence why she was able to connect on four of her tries from distance – and why she had four of the five successful triples Wilson had on Tuesday. She also knows how to get her own rebound off a miss, if needed.

We conclude this latest update with a pair of non-basketball offers secured by standouts at 4A Wilson. Miller, sporting Tigers purple and gold, fittingly landed a softball offer to play at another school with Tigers purple and gold – Benedict College. Basketball-wise, Miller was a key contributor to why the Tigers – 19-9 last season – were one of the teams to beat among 4A squads. Miller played in 28 games in 2024-25 for the Tigers and she averaged 13.3 points and 2.9 steals a season ago. She is another of the premier sharpshooters across the state and coach Ki’Ari Cain’s Tigers will need that 3-point accuracy to key another stellar season at Wilson.
