Expert Analysis

Zyann had a strong Spring and a solid June & July this year. She has gotten stronger, she has broad shoulders and length, plus she’s a nice North/South athlete who can absorb contact going to the basket. Where I felt like she stood out was shooting the ball from the perimeter. She was able to string together multiple shooting streaks in games. Zyann also has some toughness and physicality to her game, and she rebounds her position well. I think she’s someone who could really step up for Snider this year following graduation losses.

I saw Zyann’s final game of the event on Saturday, and she was able to show off the different parts of her game. She was strong and athletic attacking the basket, she was aggressive on the boards, she showed a nice versatility at the defensive end of the floor, plus she even found time to bury about a 27-footer to win the game with a second left. She is one of several reasons I think Snider will be much better than people expect, following some significant 2024 graduation losses.

In what I’ve seen out of Zyann this Spring, she looks to be on a mission. She is a strong, athletic, and very active wing prospect. She is starting to shoot it with some consistency from the perimeter, but she can also attack the basket, absorb contact, and finish around the rim. The amount of growth she has shown in the last year has been great, and if she can continue on that upward trajectory, she could definitely crack the Top-100 in this class at some point in the future. I think the next step for her is to continue making her handle more and more dynamic. I do like her defensive potential as well.

Hello, Zyann!! Talk about growth over the past year, Zyann has gotten noticeably stronger, more confident, and much more aggressive. In one of the games I saw, she was consistently knocking down perimeter jumpers, attacking off the bounce North/South and finishing at the basket, and she looked like an effective scorer that could draw some really nice small college interest this Spring & Summer. She can play in the mid-post as well with her strength and athleticism, but if she can shoot it this consistently all the time, she defends well enough to play on the wing full-time.
