Some teams have already gotten underway, but the majority don’t get underway until the calendar turns to April. These are individual looks into teams for this upcoming season. The first is a look at the Lady Martin Bros 2021 team.

Roster Breakdown
This roster is going to be a very solid team with the ability of the guards and the wings. They don’t have a “true” post player but all three of them are very skilled and can shoot the ball pretty solidly. This is a team that is going to shoot it really well and have the ability to get to the rim. They have some small guards but will make that up with the length in their wings.
One to Watch
A player that I will be keeping an eye on this season is Abbie Draper. She is an interior presence who can take it off of the bounce from the wing. I really think that once she is able to get down into the paint and take over, her recruiting will take off immensely. She doesn’t shoot it very well from behind the arc, but has the ability to stretch it out to 15′ and shoot it.
Who Should be Watching
This is a team that is going to have a lot of NAIA and DII schools watching, but I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple low majors check in with the length and shooting of this team. There are a couple high profile players on this team at would fit really well at the DII level and possibly could creep into the mid major level.

Schedule Breakdown
I do like the schedule a lot even though they tend to stay pretty close to home. I think that those schools that are going to be recruiting them the hardest will show up at those Ames events and up into Wisconsin and Minnesota. This isn’t a team that has any of those players that are going to boost their stock up to a national level, but there should be a lot of regional college programs watching them. This schedule fits the travel schedule of coaches around the region.
