Some teams have already gotten underway, but the majority don’t get underway until the calendar turns to April. These are individual looks into teams for this upcoming season. The first is a look at the Lady Martin Bros 2022 team.

Roster Breakdown
This roster is a collection of a lot of different players. They have a lot of skill in their guards, but they also have a bit of skill and fluidity in their bigs. I think that this is going to be a big year for a number of these players as they didn’t get a ton of run in the regular season with their high school teams. It will be a fun year to watch this group.
One to Watch
Probably the player with the highest ceiling is Taylor Veach. She is a scoring guard who led Central DeWitt in points per game this past season. She will be most likely the main scoring option on this squad and will be someone to definitely keep an eye on as the spring and summer progresses.
Who Should be Watching
I would imagine that schools from all levels will pop in to see this team. They will use this summer to start making their lists of players to start working toward next summer. Most NAIA and DII’s don’t *really* start recruiting until the player’s sophomore summer, so this is going to be a year to start marking those names down. I think that some low majors should probably keep an eye on a few of these players as well.

Schedule Breakdown
I do like the schedule a lot even though they tend to stay pretty close to home. I think that those schools that are going to be recruiting them the hardest will show up at those Ames events and up into Wisconsin and Minnesota. This isn’t a team that has any of those players that are going to boost their stock up to a national level, but there should be a lot of regional college programs watching them. This schedule fits the travel schedule of coaches around the region.
