- Kristyn Mitchell 6ft 4/5 Collinsville/ Blue Star Renken. This off season Kristyn has been the leading scorer for her AAU and school team. She has shown the skill to score off the dribble and a good post up game. Kristyn has always had the range to hit the 3 and will take that shot when left open. The improvement in her ability to score different ways has really changed her game. With continued strong showings Kristyn will be hard to ignore for D3/NAIA/Juco teams.
- Rylee Luechtefeld 6ft 3/4 Nashville/Blue Star Renken. I have been intrigued by Rylee from the first time I saw her play. She can it the 3 with consistency and can play comfortably on the wing. She has really long arms that she uses well to defend the pass and block shots. Rylee may be best suited as a stretch 4 at the NAIA/D3/Juco level. The ceiling is high with her skill and size.
- Makayla Best 5’6 2/1 Ofallon/SI Hawks Elite. The consistency of her outside shot going down this off season is important for Makayla. She is a great defender, goes to the basket hard and does many things for her team. When the 3 point shot is going down she is hard to stop. She is very quick and strong in her lower body so if you have to play up on her she can beat you to the basket with her ball skills, speed and strength. Makayla is definitely on the radar of D2/NAIA/D3 coaches so it will be a matter of finding the right fit.
- Kourtland Tyus 5’6 1 Civic Memorial/ Phenom. Over the course of the spring and summer sessions Kourtland has shown a much improved outside shot. She has always been an outstanding point guard. She handles the ball very well, passes well and leads the team. Kourtland has needed to help her team out by being able to knock down the open 3. She has been doing that with consistency. This brings her game to another level. Kourtland is on the radar of the D2 teams in the Midwest and should end up with excellent options.
- Kayla Gordon 5’3 1 Ofallon/SI Hawks Elite. Kayla is a scoring point guard that excels in the open court. She is excellent at finding ways to finish in the lane against taller defenders. She handles the ball well and is very fast end to end. Kayla can really improve her stock if she develops her outside shot even more. She needs more consistency from behind the arc. Kayla has shown to be an excellent free throw shooter so she has the potential to improve her 3 point accuracy.Kayla is on the radar of D3 schools already and should continue to hear from D3/NAIA/Juco schools.
All 5 of these players will have the chance to continue their great play in July on the circuit as they prepare for their senior campaigns.
