Much like the point guards there is a ton of talent with the shooting guards in the 2022 class. Taylor Veach was the only player to reach into the top 10 but there are a ton of girls right behind her that can make their case as well. Players such as Aree Beckmann, Meredith Rieker, and Macy Sievers are all right there as tremendous scoring guards. Alexis Beier might be the best combo guard in the long run of the group, and Anna Gossling has already put herself on the map with her pure shooting ability. You can’t count out Lauren Blake either, she’s a tough and athletic point forward who will stick at the guard spot.
Outside of the top ten, I expect Emma Anderson to move up quickly. She’s a really solid scoring guard with the ability to score at all three levels on the floor. She’s going to be a key part of the Woodward-Granger attack over the next few years and with a big first half of the high school season, I can see her leapfrogging into close to the top eight or so. Anderson is a very good player and having her at #13 speaks to the depth of the shooting guard spot.
