Our upcoming Top 250 Expo on Sunday will feature quite a few members of the 2021 class and this will be a great way to show schools what they can do. Below you can find some thoughts on five 2021 uncommitted prospects who could benefit the most from the event.
Sydney Berg – 5’10 W – Carlisle HS
Berg has a big year in store this upcoming season. First, she’ll be looking to compete on a big stage at the Iowa Prep Girls Hoops Top 250. Berg scored 6.7 points a game last year and is an unknown as she plays on a team with a host of seniors. She has a big year in store, but should catch the attention of several college coaches at this event. Look for Berg to come out with a chip on her shoulder.
Lexi Boles – 6’1 C – Dowling Catholic HS
Boles is a solid post player with good touch around the rim. She has a very good chance to dominate the competition with her size down in the paint. Lexi has a high ceiling and will be a threat to score as soon as she touches the ball. She has a handful of D1 offers and she will likely be among the top players in attendance. A solid showing could push her up the rankings.
Molly Ihle – 5’5 PG – Ballard HS
Ihle is one of the toughest players in the state even though she is an undersized point guard. I really like her ability to initiate the offense and she is a very confident player with the ball in her hands. As she gets comfortable shooting the ball her game should open up even more. She should likely draw a slew of small college interest over the next two years.
Myah Lugar – 5’8 W – Mid-Prairie HS
Lugar has a very good chance to move quickly up the rankings with a good showing at the Top 250 on Sunday. She scored 10.2 points a game last year for Mid-Prairie and will really be able to showcase her skills against some of the top competition in the state at this event. I look forward to seeing her play against some of the best players in Iowa.
Riley Vice – 6’1 PF – Pleasant Valley HS
Vice is someone I haven’t seen before but I am intrigued with her length. Vice will have a much bigger role for Pleasant Valley this season as they lose quite a bit to graduation. Coaches are always looking for height and Vice could be a good candidate to get some interest as she starts her sophomore year. One of the players I am looking forward to seeing for the first time.
