They are coming into the game following a huge win (65-24) against Wauwatosa West. Leading DSHA is 5’2 senior guard, Alyah Garcia with 11.7 points per game. Alyah is an offense threat for her squad and can easily take over a game. With a season-high 21 points this season, Garcia also has an efficient three point shot. Jadin O’Brien, 5’9 senior forward, follows with 10.7 points per game and is a strong presence inside. Emily Capper is a key role player for DSHA and is also 50% from the 3-point line this season. Brookfield Central is 6-4 on the season and 4-1 in the Greater Metro [player_tooltip player_id="132423" first="Anna" last="Mortag"] Brookfield Central Conference. The Division 1 team is averaging 57 points per game. Brookfield Central grabbed a 48-36 win over a tough Oak Creek team. Leading Brookfield Central is 6’0 Senior, [player_tooltip player_id="132423" first="Anna" last="Mortag"]. Averaging 20 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, Mortag is a beast on the boards. She is a huge presence inside defensively for her team, but has the handles and offensive game of a crafty guard. With 35 points at Pewaukee, the Division 1 IUPUI commit is expected to show out on Tuesday. Ellie Coraggio a 5’11 sophomore forward, follows with 10.2. [player_tooltip player_id="155772" first="CJ" last="Romero"] the teams facilitator, grabs 9.3 points per game, 6.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Wednesday January 15th Milwaukee School of Languages at Milwaukee Washington 7:00pm Milwaukee School of Languages is 8-2 coming into the matchup. The team averages 60.7 points per game and plays a really nice inside game. Leading the team is Ja’Cia Cunningham with 15.8 points per game. A true scorer- expect Cunningham to have a big game on Wednesday. The 5’8 sophomore point guard had 23 points against Milwaukee Madison and stepped up big time as a sophomore against a tough Nicolet squad. Nevaeh Howard a 5’9 senior guard steps in with 11.4 points per game and can easily take over a game offensively. Kalylah Watson is out with an ACL injury for Milwaukee School of Languages. [player_tooltip player_id="132468" first="Tanya" last="McNeal"] Milwaukee Washington is averaging 40.6 points per game and is coming off a huge win against cross town rival Milwaukee Vincent. Leading the team is Tanya McNeal with 16.5 points and 12 rebounds per game. McNeal is one of the most versatile players in her conference and should be a huge factor in the matchup. At 5’11 McNeal is a threat inside but can also be very effective beyond the arc. With 27 points in two different matchups this season, McNeal is one to watch. Following closely behind is Breyia Horton with 8.7 points per game and [player_tooltip player_id="132369" first="Khazamira" last="Brown"] with 7 points per game. Thursday January 16 Clintonville at Wrightstown 7:00 pm Erin Viergutz Clintonville is 8-3 on the season and are averaging 56.3 points per game as a team. The 6’0 senior forward is averaging 17.4 points per game. She will be a big factor defensively as she is a great rebounder and even better shot blocker. Viergutz is a rebounding specialist and will very likely lead the game in boards offensively and defensively. Following behind Viergutz is Elly Arndt with 9.9 points per game and Selina Torrez with 7.3 points per game. [player_tooltip player_id="132431" first="Bridget" last="Froehlke"] Wrightstown is 9-1 on the season and averaging nearly 80 points per game as a team. The team is coming off a huge win over Oconto Falls that will have them very confident going into the matchup. Leading Wrightstown is [player_tooltip player_id="132467" first="Ella" last="Diny"]. The 5’9 senior guard is averaging 24.8 points per game and 4 rebounds per game. With a season-high 34 at Luxemburg- Casco, Diny showed she is one of the best scorers in her conference. The NAIA Division II Cardinal Stritch commit, Diny will very well be a huge contributor to the matchup. Following closely behind is [player_tooltip player_id="132431" first="Bridget" last="Froehlke"] averaging nearly 18 points per game. Hortonville is coming off of a huge win over Oshkosh North (77-35) and should have a lot of confidence going into the matchup. Leading Hortonville this season is [player_tooltip player_id="132417" first="Macy" last="McGlone"] who is averaging 17.6 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game. The University of Milwaukee commit is going to be a huge impact in the matchup. At 6’2 McGlone does an exceptional job of using her body both offensively and defensively. She has a high understanding for her efficient spots on the floor and moves really well without the ball, making her super tough to defend. [player_tooltip player_id="155420" first="Lexi" last="Day"]- 5’8 junior guard, follows behind with 11.5 points per game for Hortonville. UW Milwaukee commit [player_tooltip player_id="132372" first="Kamy" last="Peppler"] adds in 7.5 points per game as well. [player_tooltip player_id="132371" first="Lily" last="Hansford"] Appleton East is also 12-1 on the season thus far and is coming into the matchup averaging 67.1 points per game as a team. Leading the team is [player_tooltip player_id="155421" first="Emily" last="La Chapell"] with 17.2 points per game. The 5’11 sophomore has led the team all season with her poise and patience on offense and grittiness on defense. La Chapell dropped 35 points at Freedom in a close win. With offers from every Division 1 program in the state- she will be a key player for Appleton East to pull out the win on Friday. Following behind her is [player_tooltip player_id="132371" first="Lily" last="Hansford"] averaging 14.7 points per game. At 6’2 Hansford is a versatile guard offensively but a powerhouse shot blocker and defender. Currently holding a Division 1 offer from Green Bay, watch for Hansford to be a key factor in the matchup. Delany Clark adds in 8.5 points per game for Appleton East.
