Nyla McGill #22 | Providence | Junior G
McGill was recognized for scoring 1000 points and contributing 500 assists over her high school career before the game, and she continued to stack the stats sheet. Scoring 22 points in the win, she controlled the tempo of the game and was the sure leader for the Panthers. The Yale commit also had 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 6 assists playing some part in the majority of the points scored by Providence.
Amari Davis #24 | Providence | Senior F
Davis added 9 points and 4 rebounds for the Panthers. She showed her flexibility playing forward and on the wing. Her ball handling abilities were on full display with spin moves inside and attacking the basket.
Alexis Christenbury #23 | Providence | Sophomore F
Christenbury came off the bench scoring 6 points and 4 rebounds. The timing of her scores led to big runs for the Panthers to seal the game. Christenbury has a bright future ahead of her with a few more years in high school to keep showing off that stroke. She even had a dominant block in the game.
Erin Hall #24 | East Forsyth | Senior F
Hall was a dominant presence on the inside and unstoppable when it came to grabbing rebounds finishing with 18 on the night. She also found the basket on offense with 10 points. Her defensive dominance was seen with 5 blocks on the night.
Destiny Long #23 | East Forsyth | Junior G
Long showed great leadership and great shooting form with 8 points. Her moves with the ball showed that she is not only a shooter. Long also added a few rebounds to her resume extending the possessions for the Eagles.
La’niya Simes #12 | East Forsyth | Freshman G
Simes had 5 points and 7 rebounds against the Panthers coming off the bench. She came right in having immediate impact. Her hustle created some crucial saves for the Eagles, and she even added a big block for her team. She is definitely a player to watch as she continues to grow in her high school years.
Jaydn Hoover #00 | East Forsyth | Junior G
Hoover was a tenacious defender for the Eagles. She added 7 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 assists in the loss for East Forsyth. She showed a lot of fight keeping the Eagles in the game till the end. She still has another year of high school to show off her skills.
