Megan Jackson #15 | Vance | Senior G
Jackson led all scorers with 23 points. She continued to contribute to the win by getting her teammates involved as well as show strong defense preventing Butler from making any kind of run in the game.
Michaela Lane #4 | Butler | Senior F
This uncommitted senior contributed 16 points for Butler. She was a force to be reckoned with inside the post and even took clean jump shots outside. She battled for each rebound and even grabbed one taking it all the way to the other end of the court for a score. Lane will do well with her strength and size at the next level.
Leah Barringer #1 | Vance | Junior G
Barringer finished the night with 14 points. Her ability to make one move by a defender seemed like a sure sign that a score was coming for her. Her basketball IQ was valuable on defense preventing the passing lanes from being open for Butler.
Kyanna Morgan #11 | Vance | Senior F
The future Radford Women’s basketball player dropped 11 points. Her length and agility at the top of Vance’s defense caused many turnovers that eventually turned into scores. Her shooting form was close to perfect, and she showed smart decision making with her ball movements on offense.
Ashlynn Dotson #1 | Butler | Senior G
Dotson added 9 points for the Bulldogs in their loss against Vance. Being one of the clear leaders for her team, she controlled the tempo. Her ability to dribble and penetrate the paint setting up her teammates for scores was on point, and her defensive anticipation showed her clogging the passing lanes.
Tanajah Hayes #23 | Vance | Junior G
Hayes finished the night with 3 points, but those 3 points welcomed her into the 1000 point club for her high school career and should certainly be noted for surpassing this great achievement.
