Look for their names to enter the statewide rankings over the next year, but for all of the college coaches these are names you really need to get familiar with now before it’s too late.
Maraja Pass – 5’4” – Guard – Shelby High School – Explosive Point Guard that can operate as the primary scorer on this team when needed, floor leader of a team that finished 23 -2 and went to the NCHSAA State Elite 8 in the 3A Class. During her freshman year she averaged 17.0 Points per game to go along with 5.1 Assists & 4.5 Steals in starting 22 Games. This girl should be on the radar of every Division 1 program, catch her this summer with Team Curry (NC).
Aniyah Scales – 5’8” – Guard – Olympic High School – Very talented combo guard that has increased the efficiency of the Lady Trojans offense in year 1 of her Varsity participation. During year 1 Aniyah averaged 8.3 Points per game, 3.0 Rebounds & 1.8 Assists while starting 18 Games in the backcourt for a team that finished 15 – 10 and made an appearance in the NCHSAA State tournament. The future is bright over in West Charlotte as this girl is only going to get better.
Darrionna Howard – 6’0” – Forward – Clayton High School – Long athletic Wing prospect that is a lockdown defender from the post to the point guard position, great feet and hand movement. Led her team to a 21 – 5 record and the 2nd round of the NCHSAA 3A Playoffs, while averaging 15.1 Pts, 8.2 Rebounds, 3.7 Steals & 1.4 Blocks per game, she also contributed 7 Double/Doubles in her freshman campaign. All Conference and 3rd team all region pick by the NCBCA, the upside of this young lady is incredible, Catch her with the Carolina Flames (EYBL) this Summer.
A’Shauna Robinson – 5’6” – Guard – Greensboro Day School – Extremely athletic guard that loves to attack the basket, 1 of the first players off the bench for the NCISAA 4A Finalist in 2020, the team finished 27 -4 with a loaded roster, there will be a lot more playing time for this young player in next years rotation. Great footwork and “Bulldog” mentality on the defensive end will draw in college coaches this summer playing for Greensboro Lady Gaters.
