Whether they were starters or role players, they were relief on immediately to make an impact and that they did for their respective teams last season. Jesuit’s Emma Sixta Emma Sixta 5'10" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR is a leader on the court despite her underclassman status and it proved as she earned all league distinction in the tough Metro League. Micah Wicks Micah Wicks 5'5" | PG Sutherlin | 2023 State OR from Sutherlin proved that you can be a freshman guard and play big minutes for a smaller school and make noise. Madison Naro Madison Naro 5'7" | PG Beaverton | 2023 State OR made an impact for Beaverton as a steadfast guard with discipline and great decision making. Tualatin’s Tabi Searle was the spark plug that they needed throughout the season, whereas Barlow’s Annie Koenig Annie Koenig 5'11" | SG Barlow | 2023 State OR displayed a calm demeanor for the Bruins.
Emma Sixta Emma Sixta 5'10" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SG (Jesuit HS) – Tall, high IQ, guard whose favorite weapon on offense is her three-point shot which she displayed all season long. Has a nice handle and has several different dribble combinations in her game. Nice feel and pace to her game and can rebound and a good rate for a guard. Will continue to add to her overall game and it helps that she is diligent on defense.
Micah Wicks Micah Wicks 5'5" | PG Sutherlin | 2023 State OR 2023 5’5″ PG (Sutherlin HS) – Fearless floor general for Sutherlin that took up duties right away as a freshman. Plays at a nice pace with a calm demeanor, always looking for teammates all over the floor. But when wide open will punish opponents, as she displays a nice, smooth shooting stroke. In the next few years, she will be a force to be reckoned with as the only thing she is missing is experience.
Madison Naro Madison Naro 5'7" | PG Beaverton | 2023 State OR 2023 5’7″ PG (Beaverton HS) – (Pictured) Younger sister of Boise State bound Mary Kay Naro and daughter of head coach Kathy Naro has basketball in her bloodlines. Although she was merely a freshman last season, Madison was counted upon by the Beavertons to be a facilitator and she was just that. The confident guard with great court awareness had a 10 assist game versus Aloha, but it is her overall solid game that will be exciting to watch over the next few years.
Tabi Searle Tabi Searle 5'10" | SG Tualatin | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SG (Tualatin HS) – Tall, athletic guard that utilizes her height to shoot over defenders and at a high rate. Uses long strides to get down the court on the break and has the finesse to finish. Fundamentally sound player that fills up the stat sheet by being at the right place at the right time and making sound decisions.
Annie Koenig Annie Koenig 5'11" | SG Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 5’8″ SG (Barlow HS) – Fundamentally sound guard that received honorable mention in the Mt. Hood Conference. Can take it to the hoop and shoot it from deep, good court awareness, knows when to dish it off to a teammate. Looks to grow and develop for the Bruins.
