1. Kylie Chavis – Chavis incredible season was one the best season this year in the District, The Sandhills conference player of year put on a full display of her skill all season long. She established herself as one the top players in the area. Her determination to get to a spot on the floor, and pull the trigger beyond the arc, or split the defense for a score is a tribute to how hard she works on her game. Chavis is just relentless, the freshman guard is definitely one of the toughest players withing the Sandhills area.
2. Miya Giles – Jones – This season, Jones was the name district 4 player of the year, selected to the 910prep 1st team All Star team, and name 1st team All Conferenc for the Patroit league.. The 5-foot-9 forward was the name to the 3rd All State team,. Jones help the EE Smith Bulldogs to reach the 3A State final game. Leading her team to a 31-1 record for the season. Jones with the EE Smith Bulldogs is regarded as one of the top rebounders and players that the team has.
3. Jakieya Thompson – Thompson was part of a team that made an spectacular run this year. She contributed to the St. Paul High Bulldogs awesome season. Thompson tough fast, and hard nose playing ability made it tough on opponents that had to defend her. She is definitely a tough defender as well, able to guard 94 feet and cause opponents havor on the floor. She will only get better.
4. Skylar White — White, an freshman point guard for the Cape fear high Colt was selected 2nd team All conference in the Patroit league. White was a selected this year to tthe District 4 3rd All District team. White represented her team very well all season long. The point guard lead her team in points, assit, and steal. She was her teams drivng force all season long. Next year she just migh be the best point guard in the area.
5. Harmony Martin — played an great season for the Westover high Wolverine team. Her tenacious play help lead the Wolverines to a 2nd place finish in their conference and a appearance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Martin was a name to the 2nd team All conference team in the Patroit league, Martin will suprise a lot of people come next year her role will become even bigger by picking up the slack from senior Faith Francis.
