#1 – Skylar White– 5”7 PG – Cape Fear
White is an upcoming freshman point guard who has showcase her abilities this year that has put her in the #1 spot in Fayetteville NC. White’s creative passing ability is next to dynamic the way she sees the floor. The freshmen point guard handles the ball very well in and out of traffic. She is very impressive in breaking down defenders and getting into the lane and finishing. Her defensive presence is intense and stalking at times against her opponents. She will definitely develop into one of the top players in the state. Making the all district team as a freshman and being selected to the all conference team is a sign to show you why she will be and player to pay attention to.
#2 – Mia-Giles- Jones – 5’11 F – EE SMITH
Jone’s strong hard nose style of play, has place her as one of the top players in the state. She is a physical player who can get to the rim with will. Her ability to defend 1-4 positions is something to be excited about. She is tough on the boards, with a gift to get to the ball and position herself for offensive put backs. She plays with a whole lot of tenacity grit. The district player of the year will only continue to grow and get better. She was able to lead her team to a state final berth. Due to the COVID19 her team was name CO State Champions. She have such a tremendous upside that it will be a surprise that she will land at D1 program.
#3 – Harmony Martin– 5’6 G – Westover High
Harmony is an up and rising freshman guard who was very impressive this season. had a strong high school season this year. She plays with such a passion to want to win that she leaves everything she has on the floor each game. The freshman guard was a big piece to Westover’s success this year. As she continues to improve she will be a player to be on the look out for.
#4 –Keshania Murphy – 5”9 G/F EE Smith
Murphy is your prototypical small forward had a very solid season as a freshman this year. She is definitely a threat on the perimeter with her shooting ability. She creates problems with her length and has a high IQ for the game. Everything is up from here on out. It want be surprising to find her one of the top players in the city next season.
#5 I Crawford – 5”7 – F – Villiage Christian
Crawford was a tough and do it all player for the Knights this year. With them having a short bench she was a big factor in their competition level. She was tough in the post area, rebounding and playing some of the toughest and biggest players on the other team. She will only continue to improve and get better heading into next years season. Her future definitely looks bright.
#6 – Emma Ross – 5”5 G – Terry Sanford
Ross is a solid guard for the Bulldogs. She uses her strong body to shield off defenders to get to the rim. She is such a work horse on the court. She is such a coachable plYer that any coach would love to coach her. Tremendous upside keep your ears tuned in and eyes open for her in the future.
#7 Anaya Teague – – 5”10 F– Trinity Christian
Teague has the ability to score the ball at all inside the post are at a high rate. Teague has also gotten better defensively over the past few months and has shown the ability to get to the rim and score. She is continuing to work on her jump shot and getting her foot work down better. Teague has the potential to be really good her upside is tremendously
#8 – Valerie Veauthier – 5’7 SG – Pine Forest
Veauthier has continued to improve all facets of the game and like many of these players can play only get better as time goes on. Her defensive presence in the post area is one of the best in the city. She continues to improve her offensive game. Veauthier also has a soft touch from the field. As she continue to define her game to get better it’s only scary to think what she would end up to be.
#9 – Kevla Jean – 5”9 F
Jean introduces herself into the top 10 as she rises on the watch list radar. Jean is an very aggressive forward who has a high motor to defend, and attack the basket. Jean has improved her game a lot coming into this years season and has made herself into strong and respectable forward. With her commitment on defense it moves her into the top 10 and it doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon.
#10 – Lena Darrell – 5″6 SG Fayetteville Christian School
Darrell is an upcoming shooting guard who shows the potential to become one of the top shooters in the city. She is long able to defend smaller guards and creates difficulties on the defensive end by playing the passing lane well. She is able to catch and shoot and knock down the three when need be. Gets out and runs the floor very well. Still so young she will definitely improve her over all game in the years to come.
