Rather they become All conference players, or even All state players, or just a key component for their teams. So lets see who are the five potential breakout players to watch for next season in Fayetteville, NC.
1. 5’9″ | G/F | Jasmon Nolin | Northwood Temple
Nolin has flew under the radar, but don’t mistaken her ability, the Junior forward is a skilled back court and front court prospect with the ability to bury the jumper; she is aggressive in attacking the lane and finishes in traffic; drawing contact and getting to the foul line, she continues to be a superb forward in the class of 2021 and is set to have a break out senior year so stay tuned for her to display what she can offer.
2. 5”10 | SF | Zaniya Marsh | Jack Britt
Marsh is a hard worker, she gives her team the needed energy in crucial moments. Athletic front court prospect strong on the glass, pushes the ball and attacks in transition, runs great in transition able to finish strong at the rim, she can stretch the floor knocking down the mid range jumper. Plays solid defense and has good lateral movent able to stay in front of smaller guards. Marsh looks to increase her role on her team next year.
3. 6”0 | PF | Simone’ Benton | Hoke County
Benton is an athletic 4 with steady offensive improvement; strong and tough in the paint, capable of drawing contact which gets her to the charity stripe; consitent on the glass and getting put backs; superb in transition; long defender that gives opponents a hard time. She continues to improve her versatiltiy. Benton definitely will be a player to watch out for next season.
4. 5”4 | G | Maaika Dones | Overhills
quick lead-guard with a aggressive mindset; scrappy type guard that hounds oppenents on defense, tough to contain, consistently pushes the tempo in transition; and up and rising guard that continues to improve her skillset. Everyone should be on the lookout for her name next season
5. 5”5 | G | Danae Hawkins | Seventy First
Hawkins is set to have a strong solid season. The sophomore combo guard can penetrate, break down the defense, find the open player knock down the mid-range jumper and hit the three; a very aggressive defender that brings a lot of energy on the defensive end. Hawkins has very craft handles that allows her to get her shot off. Her impact next season will be felt on the team and her name will be recognize.
