Laila Hankerson: The 5’4 point guard from Charlotte Country Day has already been marked as a 3 point shooter in this class you should know. Besides just her 3 point shooting abilities she is an all around player. She is quick with the ball in her hands. She can get downhill going right or left (cannot finish as well with left hand yet), gets in the paint and scores, or is able find her open teammate. She is smart on defense and takes advantage of her opponent. She creates fast break opportunities for herself and teammates. There is no doubt that she will continue to grow and become an even better player. She plays AAU for the Carolina Flames organization.
Trinity Mathis: The 5’11 power forward from Cannon High School in a 2nd team all-conference selection this last season. Big part to that is due to her defense and her rebounding abilities. She is a beast on the boards already, she had 5 double-digit rebounding games this last season. She plays hard on defense which results in her getting easy steals and deflections, which often result in 2 points on the other end for her team. Offensively she is raw and is getting better and better. She was able to knock down some 3’s, but she was better when driving to the basket, and with her size she is also able to post up smaller defenders. She has developed a lot thus far, she is a hard worker who will continue to do so. She plays AAU for the Team Curry organization.
Brooklin Ingram: The 5’7 guard from Charlotte Country Day made the “Talking-All Preps Freshman” team dubbed by the Charlotte Observer. She has a smooth and pure shot, with a high release. She can knock down the 3 ball, she can 1 dribble pull up, she can take you off the dribble, the girl can score it. She has good speed with the ball in her hands, changes direction quickly, all causing her to be able create her own shot. She rebounds well for a guard, one thing to keep working towards is taking care of the ball. She is definitely someone to keep an eye on for the next 3 years. She plays AAU for the Team Felton organization.
Alexis Hailey: The 5’8 guard from Covenant Day School is a long, wiry player. She plays hard, she is all over the floor on both ends, she tries to get things done for her team. She makes the right plays (even though they sometimes go unfinished), but she has the ability to make them. She shoots it alright between the 3 ball and her pull up, and has plenty of time to become more consistent. Her length and hustle makes her a good rebounder as well. She has got a lot of potential if she keeps working. She plays AAU for the Carolina Defenders organization.
Jordyn Latter: The 5’7 guard from Providence Day is another player who gives it her all when she steps on the court. She plays hard every minute she is on the floor, which translates into her putting herself in good situations. She challenges her opponents on both ends of the floor. On defense she will guard you the length of the court, and does a pretty good job at it. On offense she will drive it hard to the paint. She does have a pull up that needs some work, but over the next 3 years she will get that down. She is not afraid to challenge bigger players on the boards either, she will crash hard and go get it. She plays AAU for the NC Lady Ballers organization.
Chandler Brooks: The 5’7 lefty point guard from Providence Day is a high IQ player. She is a big body, smooth playing, sees plays before they happen, type of player. She makes passes and plays that a lot of players, much less freshman cannot make. She tallied 117 assists on the season, versus her 78 turnovers. She is bigger than most guards so she can bully her way into the paint to make plays, and grab rebounds. She is definitely someone to keep watching progress for the next 3 seasons. She plays AAU for the 1 Dream organization.
