Maddie Dillinger Maddie Dillinger 6'1" | PF Cuthbertson | 2021 State NC : The 6’0 forward from Cuthbertson high school is a player who can really do everything. She can shoot it from 3, drive it to the paint, post up smaller defenders, rebound, pass, decent defender…it amazes me she has not committed anywhere. She does whatever it is her team needs her to do, to win. She is efficient with her scoring, converting almost 50% of her field goals, she scored 15+ points 13 different times last season. There was 14 different times she had 3+ assists last season. She has her fingerprints on every game she plays in. If she has an off scoring night then she is leading her team in rebounds and steals, and being a leader on the court. Maddie is going to make a very good grab for someone at the next level. She plays AAU for the NC Team Loaded organization.
Miranda Barron: The 5’5 point guard from Weddington high school is fast at getting downhill with the ball in her hands. She will put you on skates if you let her. She gets into the paint and has no trouble scoring the basketball in a variety of ways; straight layups (left or right), euro-step, floater, double-clutch, she is very crafty around the rim. She has a good looking shot from deep, but does not quite shoot it consistent enough yet to be a real threat. She makes good reads and passes to her open teammates, and pushes the tempo in transition. Defensively she is all over the court. Harassing players in the back court, front court, she is literally everywhere creating chaos and easy steals for her team. She plays AAU for the Phoenix Elite organization.
Jalynn Carter: The 5’6 guard from Sun Valley high school is a straight athlete. She plays hard and fast every possession she is on the court. She gets her points from getting into the paint and scoring and making the old fashioned 3 point plays (she attempted over 100 free throws in 23 games played). She does not shoot the 3 ball well, but she converts well over 50% of her 2 point field goals. She creates chaos on defense, she will guard you baseline to baseline and pick your pocket if you do not handle it well. She is super long so she gets her hands on a lot of passes and either steals it or deflects it.
Audrey Strange: The 6’0 forward from Weddington high school has the potential to be a good pickup for the next level. She has the size, she runs the floor well, and can stretch the defense due to her consistent mid-range jumper and drive. She finishes well around the rim, especially over her left shoulder. She can play from that high post area and you have to guard her due to she will knock down that shot, or drive to the rim. She cannot stretch the defense beyond the 3 point line, but she is comfortable driving from there, or making passes since she can see over the defense. She goes and gets rebounds, even the tough ones that cause a tussle. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Emily Cunningham: The 5’9 point guard from Weddington high school is a high IQ, hustle player. She controls the tempo of the game for her team. She knows when to push it and pass ahead, and she knows when to reel it back in and set the offense. She also plays hard for every possession, if she has a turnover (which she rarely does) she is trying her best to get it back , she is running down loose balls, and wreaking havoc on the defensive end. She shoots it well enough from 3 you have to respect her, but she also will lull you to sleep out there and get to the rim (right or left side) and score or dish off. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Kamaria Sheriff: The 5’11 forward from Cuthbertson high school is another athlete with a lot of upside. She is long, runs the floor well, rebounds well, and can finish inside. She is not a threat from the 3 point line, but she can shoot the short jumper, and shoot over people in the post. She is comfortable getting a steal or defensive rebound and pushing it herself. Being an athlete she goes and gets the rebounds, over people, or the long ones, she is quick enough to react and grab them. She is long and agile on defense so she gets steals, and deflections just from moving and playing hard. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
