Miracle Cornell: The 5’10 small forward from Franklinton high school has good size and strength. She moves well without the ball around the paint, creeps behind defenses to get open for the easy lay ins. She is extremely good when isolated in the high post area. She consistently knocks down the mid-range, she consistently can put it on the floor and get to the rim and score. On top of the mid-range game, she can step behind the 3 point line and consistently knock it down, you have to guard her from there. She has improved her her attempts and makes every year. She battles on the boards, not afraid to make contact to make sure she secures the board for the team. At the next level once she gets with a strength and conditioning coach she is is going to become even stronger and faster with the ball in her hands. She plays AAU for the Royal Knights organization.
Katherine Wilkins: The 5’4 point guard from Franklinton high school is long and athletic. She is quick with the ball in her hands, gets downhill and into the lane with ease. She can get to the rim and finish or get to the line, she also has developed a pull-up jumper from the free-throw line. She attempts a lot of 3’s, but she is not consistent enough to be labeled a threat from deep. As a point guard she sees the floor well and tries to make the right plays to get her team easy buckets. She is so quick and long that on the defensive end she is all over the court. She shoots the gaps for steals, runs down loose balls, pokes it away from whoever has it. She plays AAU for the Carolina Waves organization.
Hannah Evans: The 5’6 guard from Northern Nash high school can do a little bit of everything. She shoots it well enough from 3 you have to guard her out there. She can get to the basket for easy lay-ups, going right or left. She can play point guard if need be, she has good court vision and will push the tempo. If she sees her teammate up the floor she is capable of making the pass up the court for the easy bucket. She goes and grabs rebounds for her size and position as well. She is tough and not afraid of getting in the lane and banging around. She is an active defender as well.
Brooke Lucas: The 5’5 guard from Southern Nash high school has the green light from deep. She attempted nearly 100 this last season, not knocking down enough to be a threat from there, she is more of a streaky shooter. She has time to become a consistent threat from beyond the arc. If she is not shooting the 3, she is quick with the ball and can get downhill to the rim. This is where she draws a lot of fouls, getting to the free-throw line more than 100 times this last season. Another good rebounding guard for her size, she chases down her misses, or crashes from the outside when a shot goes up. She is another pesky defender due to her length and speed she gets a lot of deflections and steals just from being active.
Kanasia Arrington: The 5’7 guard from Northern Nash high school has improved her stats all 3 years she has been on varsity. She scored in double-digits 6 times this last season. Again she has improved her 3 point percentage from year to year to become a consistent threat from downtown. She is another guard who rebounds well, grabbing almost 3 per game this last season. 13 different times this last season she had 3+ steals in games.
