Class of 2021
Izzie Gimm. Liberty High School. 5’11 Post – A talented, raw player that has good footwork and can finish around the basket, Izzie is filled with potential. Coach James is working with her this summer on her post moves to help her game reach the next level. A good defender who can protect the basket, Izzie is a multi-sport athlete who was a Honorable Mention All Area Quincy Herald Whig Volleyball player last season.
Emma Slagle. West Central High School. 5’11 Guard/Forward – A super aggressive player who averaged a double/double last season, Emma brings a wide range of skills to the game. She can hit the 3 ball, get to the rim and finish. A long player, Emma also brings good speed to the court. Coach James calls her the “most underrated player I have coached this year.” Emma was 2nd Team WIVC All Conference last season.
Jessa Vetter. Greenfield High School. 5’5 Point Guard – Coming off an impressive 2019 AAU season and a High School season where she averaged 10ppg and competed at the State Tournament 3 point contest, Jessa brings a lot of upside to any team. Her quickness fits a run and gun style offense well. She can get up and down the floor quickly and does so with very few turnovers per game. Jessa was 1st team WIVC All Conference last year.
Karli Artmann. Illini West High School. 5’6 Point Guard – A well known player in the Illinois Prep Girls Hoops world, Karli brings it all to the game. An aggressive player who has good handles, Karli can put the ball in the basket but also create shots for others. A solid defender who gets matched up with the best each and every night, Karli is the real deal.
Jayden Schuette. Liberty High School. 5’7 Shooting Guard – A hard player to guard, Jayden can score from anywhere. She can knock down both the 3 and mid-range shot. Jayden is a high character player who always puts the team first and is constantly looking to improve her game.
Belle Koch. Brown County High School. 5’7 Shooting Guard – An extremely coachable player who has improved each year, Belle can play. She brings speed, a good jumper and the ability to score from anywhere on the court to the game. Belle was 1st team WIVC All Conference last year.
Bailey Wallbaum. PORTA High School. 5’7 Point Guard – A Sangamo 1st Team All Conference Player last year, Bailey is a skilled athlete. She is a lockdown defender and can score. She has a good jumper and can get to the rim very well, so well that Coach James believes that is her best offensive attribute. Rarely turning the ball over, Bailey is a hardworking, fundamental basketball player who can shine at the next level. Earlier this summer, Bailey was Co-MVP at the Reebok Summer Sizzler in Cape Giradeau.
Khloe Damm. Illini Central High School. 5’10 Guard/Forward – A basketball junkie, Khole is a long player who can bring it. Her length makes her a nightmare to defend as she can see the floor very well with a quick first step. Khole has terrific instincts on the defensive end of the floor and her long wing span and speed help her rack up the steals on a nightly basis. Coach James forecasts an All State Senior season for her. As a Junior, Khole was 2nd Team Sangamo All Conference.
