Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI and Logan Carson have quickly become possibly the best brother and sister combo in Michigan. Faith has high major interest and a recent offer from Michigan State, while Logan has received interest from the likes of Bethune-Cookman. Let’s look at the sister-brother combo.
THE SIBLINGS
Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI (2023, 6-5, C, Buchanan)
Carson is a powerhouse in the paint. She uses her strength and physicality to establish position in the low post. Carson rebounds the ball high and keeps it that way, out of reach of most defenders. She doesn’t need to put the ball back on the floor after a rebound, but can just put it right back up off the catch for a put back bucket. Carson has soft hands on a post catch which really helps increase her efficiency and decrease her turnovers. She runs the floor well and is pretty adept post passer. Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI has interest from schools like Xavier and Wisconsin, to go along with the MSU offer.
Logan Carson (2021, 6-10, PF, Buchanan)
Carson is a pretty versatile post player. When matched up against a traditional big, he likes get the ball in the high post, use his quick first step, and beat them to the rim on a 2 dribble drive. Carson can also effectively post a big by winning the leg race and establishing position. When going against a smaller and quicker post player, he can play the match up, take advantage of his strength, and back them down. In my opinion, Logan Carson is one of the highest upside bigs the in the class of 2021.
CONCLUSION
Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI and Logan Carson are both Division 1 prospects. They have different, but both very effective, styles. What would be fun to see, is men’s and women’s coaches at the next level coming together and putting up a dual offer at the same school for both of the Carson’s. No matter what happens, be sure to tune in to The Carson Show this summer and beyond.
